  1. Mark?? You are a genius !!! Hell yeah...
  2. well damn, if farts can power an electric car, I need to get one and put a charger plug in the drivers seat.. I wonder how far I could go after eating a small can of re-fried beans ??? jojo
  3. What I think I see, is a CAT powered Diesel generator, charging that truck.. Irony at it's best..
  4. I wonder if all of the body panels were solar collectors, if it would generate some power to charge a second set of batteries, that is on an 'A'/'B' switch? I wonder too if the owners would know how to flip the switch, or would it have to be automatic? This way you can fully charge the set's, then as you drive (on a sunny day of course) the collectors, would recieve a charge to lengthen the max distance? jojo
  5. yep, thats how you save the planet.... just toss it in the trash...
  6. Teslas are cheap... just get e few of them....
  7. I assume you ran the knob back and forth??
  8. So our gas and oil hating Electric Car King, used Air Force One, to fly 72 miles to Hagerstown Maryland.. The airplane used 3,866 Pounds of fuel. Wouldnt his tesla got him there and back on 'half a charge', for about $5.00... Happy Sunday Guy's... Jojo
  9. Is the number not cast into the hub?
  10. after I pulled the other one out and saw the rust in that one, I figured I would order the new ones. I was not able to find re-build kits for these old cylinders. I could use a grease gun to get one of them apart, but the second one is really bad.. its unfortunate.. I really hoped to clean them and re-build them...
  11. it looks great... jojo
  12. Well, I looked for other wheel cyl's for my '48... no luck.. I bought the new production set... $363.00 w/shipping.. I didnt mind buying it because my BOSS said..... and I quote..... use my Pay Pal acct. so after I came too, I ordered them... jojo
  13. Looks like a 13 spd. to me too.. sunlight faded the red button. 8LL would be blue,,, 18 , gray.. I wish I was close enough to go look at it... I just want to see this truck that is unusual to me... jojo
  14. Just curious,,,. What repairs have been done tothe truck right before this issue occured?
  15. I believe E-Tech is correct. I'm hoping it's a loose ground or something simple like that..
  16. looks like budd wheels on the front, i assume budd's on the rear,,, certainly not spokes with aluminum rims.. I would be curious if there is a seem where it was married to a back half? Its a cool truck... Just my 2 cent's... Jojo
  17. I thought it was from an international with Eaton rears, and the aluminum rims are modern,, didnt see if they were budd's or hub piloted.. i'll look again.. The truck is still cool.. but I think its a Mongrel... sorry, dont know how to spell Mongrel..... jojo
  18. I just edited my first post, I typed on my phone and saw that some of what I typed didnt post.. "F" has great approaches to diagnose these issues... Pay attention... Jojo
  19. Check the acc. Relay behind the dash,. It looks like a starter relay. You may have a relay next to the fuse panel on the right side, it looks like a cube, if so, swap one of the others with it to see if the issue is still there, also clean the grounds in the dash, there is one next to the fuse panel, and behind the cluster, to the left.. there are other grounds outside too. Let us know how this goes..
  20. Hey there... you are responding to a 3 year old post.. Please post the make, year, eng series, tranny, and the issue you are having
  21. I soak up all of what you have to offer... Luv U Bob... jojo
  22. Yes to all.. It came off the backing plate just fine.. I just have to remove the small piston that pushes the rear shoe.. I already honed the cyls and they are actualy clean. . once I get the other piston out I will know better.. I havent found kits yet, so I will just use the sizes for each rubber cup. I think I can make this happen, of course, I dont have the left side out yet, but.... It's all good.. Thank's, Bob.. jojo
  23. Amen ! My Brother...
  24. That was F'n AWESOME !!!!!! I'll bring the beer...... jojo
  25. So I tried to take the wheel cyl. apart, I had to tap threads into one of the pistons and pull it using a homemade puller.. The washer is a Mack rear engine mount washer.. I have a small stack of those suckers.. now to find a rebuild kit.. im on a very tight budget, so I need to go easy... if I can get the brakes to work, I will be happy. I actually intend on driving it around town often, so hopefully, they wont rust up and freeze again..
