I forgot to add that I was also driving late 70's DM's with rookie rods.. of course I drove Mack 'R' model, tractor trailers too.. jojo -

When I was driver in the late 90's -2001... I was in construction. I was on MANY job sites with, grade stakes and catch basins and piles of stuff and material, and oh yeah,,,,, a bunch of guys on the ground.. not to metion the ocasional counterwieght swing around in front of my truck.. jojo -

I dont what SMC is, but when I can I use Brass Compression fittings.. I do use Brass push lock types as well, and I like them, however, I think Compression fittins are the best for a long lasting assembly.. Jojo P.S.: NO Plastic quick connects.. J.M.O.

It sounds like the valves were run 180 degrees out...are you sure you were up on #1 when you started the valve adjustment ?? There is an easy way to tell that you are up on #1.. I would confirm valve adjustment before spending more money.. Jojo
