  1. my Dad was also a Vietnam vet who came home in '68.. I popped out 27 Apr.1969... He didnt tell me much but I remember how he reacted to certain things, one in particular was,,, anything about ''Jane Fonda'' .. I'm am very proud of my Fathers service.. He doesn't know how proud I am, because I do NOT bring it up.. God Bless America !! and god Bless the Service members that protect our Constitution..
  2. Thanks bud.. I am weak on that knowledge, mostly because the Bulk of my knowledge is E-7 and E-Tech's.. and as you know I have the timing tool for the Robert Bosch pumps,,,, and E-Tech's are,,, well,,, E-Tech's... the few other diesels I built had timing marks and windows in the Inj. pump, to set to a certain degree.. ie: the John Deere 3179's I built and an Isuzu 4 cyl. 4HE1... Jojo
  3. I really wish I knew how to ''flow-time''.. I read about how to do it, and I have a svc. manual that shows how.. I always thought that you needed a pump that can produce 400+ PSI.. Am I mistaken?
  4. the lash 'results',,, is that what it was before you adjusted them? Did you start on #1 TDC? you can be 180 degrees off if not.. there is an easy way to tell if you are up on #1.. Jojo
  5. any chance the marks are on the flywheel in that year?? i dont know when they started using the flywheel.
  6. I'm right there with you rebel.. Now when I catch a Opossum, I take it to a ''black neighborhood'' and let him out.. Those folks eat them, so I am doing my part to cut their High cost for meat.. I have caught 5 cats in the last 10 months,, I let ''animal control come get my trap, then they literally bring my trap back, and set it over the fence.. No more rats since i got rid of my 50 chickens.. I used to sit out there with my .22 revolver, loaded with shot shells and pick them off.. some nights I would get 6 of them.. I put a small bell on the chicken feeder, so that I could here them when they would hang from the feeder to 'feed'.... BLAM !!!
  7. I knew someone would clarify this.. Salpolit,,,, Meet FJH...
  8. It took me a bit to find these.. sorry about the blurry picture..
  9. I should, have it in my file at home.. I will try to get it..
  10. That looks just like the one on my 48 International KB-7.. mine is a Wagner Lockheed, and I actually got one from O'Reilly Auto parts.. there was a number cast into mine that I used to get the new one.
  11. Maybe an exh. manifold gasket leak?
  12. no threads, need a new trunion..
  13. I have only ever used the kent-moore tool.. however, i was told that you can look inside the hole and line the marks up and it will be timed.. Maybe someone will add to what I wrote.. I personally am not comfortable doing that. I happen to own a timing tool, and know how to use it.. Jojo
  14. I would assume there are seals. If you P.M. your address to me, I will send you a bag of seals. I'm not sure if they are correct, but you can see if they work.. I have lots of them.
  15. Another way to check the trunnion bushing wear without taking anything apart, is to use a magnetic base with a dial indicator.. stick it to the trunnion bar, and point it to the A-Frame saddle, then jack the rear wheels of the ground under the center of the trunnion bar, and record the measurement of movement.. we use to call .100" 'worn'. Good luck sir... JOJO
  16. I was talking to a couple guys at work today.. They said that the local meat markets are not cheaper at all.. I guess I was hoping that I could buy fresh meat cheaper, and support a local farmer or business.. I really miss the prices of things from 3 years ago.. We were able to afford everyday items.. Of course what I just said is for a different thread here at BMT.. I greatly respect all of you that have been able to process your own meats.. I wish I was one.. Jojo
  17. I'll second that !! Happy for you..
  18. Pictures would be helpful...
  19. Mech.. I have been a Member of P.E.T.A. for years, ,,, really all my life... It's called,, (P)lease (E)at (T)asty (A)nimals.... Jojo
  20. For Moles and Voles I use this Sure fired Trap.... ''Mack!!''
  21. its not pressurized. it just returns oil from the turbo bearings.. Can you take pictures and post them? The only pressurized oil line is the feed line to the turbo, on that side of the engine.. the lower exhaust studs leak after a while.
  22. Now That's what i'm talkin' bout.. I wish I was raised that way.. We dont have deer processors in my area, and deer are everywhere.. I would love to fill my freezer. one of the 25 year old guy i work with pays $10,000.00 a year to hunt in Ohio and Illinois and N.C. ( I mean His Daddy).. anyway, It's not easy here for me to hunt on Game lands.. The land owners here, don't like Yankee's, so getting permission is a no-go..
