Who is upset? I'm simply trying to understand why you keep voting for people who keep raising your taxes. I grew up in a blue state, the one known as "The Land of Taxes". Democrat policies have absolutely RUINED that state and thousands upon thousands have moved away, including me 40 years ago. Best move I ever made!

For Federal income tax, I use the Standard Deduction, which has increased every year since 2017 and will again this year. The tax brackets have adjusted downward every year since 2017. I have no farm land, nor stocks either. Because of President Trumps tax cut in 2017, I saved $1500 in tax compared to the previous year, based on the same income. Each year since then, I also saved the original $1500, plus another $75 for each year since. That means that for 2025, I should save $2100 in Federal tax compared to the amount I was taxed before 2017. Those tax cuts were set to expire this year, but President Trump extended them in last year's tax legislation, PLUS he has created a deduction for Social Security income that was being taxed. I'll find out at tax time how much more that will save me. At the State level, the income tax rate was 6% for many years, but legislation passed by our Governor is reducing it each year until it reaches 4%. In addition, the Governor has given tax rebates of $250/taxpayer in three recent years and an additional $500 rebate on property taxes to each homeowner. For the past several years, my FREE State has had a large budget surplus and has returned some of that to the taxpayers.

You have said this before, yet I fail to understand how. I don't feel screwed. The people I associate with don't feel that way either. The US Border is under control. The economy is improving. Gas prices are going down. The "green energy" SCAM is dead. Both my income taxes and property taxes are going down. Unconstitutional gun control laws are being overturned. I live in a FREE State. Life is good!

Back in 1978 I owned one Ford, a 1967 Fairlane (390 CID, 2-speed auto, first and third.....) for about three weeks. Paid $75 for it, sold it back to the same guy for the same $75. I've always been a MOPAR guy, with a few GM's in between. Currently there are two Dodges sitting in my driveway with no plans to replace either one.

I'm happy for you. When I retired 12 years ago, I was 265 pounds. Today, I'm at 230 and still losing. I don't rush things, don't go to a gym, don't starve myself, but have cut back on portions and snacking. I also don't stress about it. Don't know how long I have left, so there is no point in stressing over my weight. At this rate, I should hit 200 in around 10 or 11 more years, IF I'm still here!

Not trying to start anything, but in my State, none of that is required. I have one battery powered smoke detector in the hallway by the bedroom. I used to have another just outside the kitchen, but the wife set it off every time she cooked.

On duty at CPFD Station 2, located just west of the runways at Atlanta-Hartsfield. In short time, all aircraft would be on the ground and Station 2 has never been so quiet. All scheduled activities were cancelled for the next few days and we only left the stations to run emergency calls. The station televisions, normally turned off during "business" hours, were watched closely for updates.

As it has been said by others, Trump could find the cure for cancer and give it to everyone for free, and the left would still hate him. Nothing he did in his first term hurt me and that is holding true for this term. His original tax cuts put more of my money in my pocket and their continuation will keep doing so. The changes to the taxes on SS will add more. Reducing wasteful government spending is the right move. Removing those here illegally is the right move. Stopping the DEI policies is the right move. His efforts to return manufacturing to the US is the right move. When was the last time a democrat in the White House did something to benefit all US Citizens? And he's doing it for FREE!

The video starts just as the truck driver begins to pull out and the impact occurs at the 4 second mark. As he goes through his turn, the van comes into view. Judge the distance, but I would say it is about 300' away. Take away the reaction time, eating up about 100 feet, and there was not enough distance remaining for the van to stop before impact. A "typical passenger car" is used in the above example of stopping distance/time, but this was a mini van, which could weight 700 to 1000 pounds more, increasing those distances and the time to stop.
