  1. See. I knew it would pay off to ask the right people. Thanks a ton.
  2. Ok fellas,I know this is probably a dumb question. How do you get the front drums off a b model? I have looked for center type cap to remove like you would for a car and remove the wheel bearing and pull the drum off. I cleaned the junk from around the center to look for a seam but can't see anything.
  3. Thank goodness I have another garage attached to the house. One side has my wife's car in it and the other is collecting boxes of Mack parts. Looks like a rummage sale!!!!
  4. No it never had shocks on it. The engine seems good. Good compression and oil pressure. I took one of the push rod covers off to see inside and it is really clean inside. No sludge or build up.
  5. The engine and transmission stripped down and ready to come out.I need another building just to store the parts.
  6. I bet the load weighs more than the "truck".
  7. That's a whole lotta caffeine!
  8. They are on the driver and passenger side of where the bellhousing bolts to the frame.
  9. Anybody know what this set up is for on my b 42? It's on both side transmission mounts. I'm guessing they are used to align the engine and transmission in the frame?
  10. I'm meant that with as much sarcasm as I could.
  11. If the government says it's good then it must be. Am I right? They have our best interests in mind.
  12. It sure screws up older engines with carburetors.......not to mention small two cycles.
  13. I have seen this up close and personal near me in Virginia. They were asking $8500. Needs a lot of work. Full of body filler. Inside around windshield was rotten.
  14. Thanks everyone. I really enjoy restoration projects. I just recently over the last few years have been wanting a large truck. I've been restoring cars for more than 25 years. This will be a nice change of pace.....everything is BIGGER, HEAVIER AND MORE TIGHTLY ATTACHED than past prprojects.
  15. Thanks to everyone for the information. It's good to hear opinions from folks with experience.
  16. Thanks to everyone for the information. It's good to hear opinions from folks with experience.
  17. Thanks guys. Do you think one large 12 volt battery would be alright to use? Or should I go with the two 6 volts?
  18. Greetings everyone. This may seem like a silly question. Does a b 42 model have one or two batteries and what size should they/it be? It's a EN 401 engine if that is of any help.
  19. Thanks Vlad. I'm thinking of turning the tank part into a zombie apocalypse shelter. Seriously though, I'm going to restore the whole truck to be a vintage Gulf oil truck.
