    I agree to a point but what mack is saying is if you want a bigger motor go elsewhere because we don't care about you . That's what we did.

    That's why we bought a kenworth with a cummins 605 hp . Sick of mack telling us we don't need the power when every other company makes a 600 hp available. Screw mack .

    The problem with Mack is they don't offer something for everyone. They tell the customer what they should buy, not the other way around. Paccar offers something for everyone. If you want a modern styled aero truck you can get it from Paccar, if the customer wants a traditional long nosed conventional they will make it. Mack won't make what the customer wants unless the customer wants what Mack currently makes. It wouldn't be hard to make a retro styled R model on a Granite chassis and a stretched rawhide CHU with a retro superliner type hood.

    I know but the website doesn't list the cummins as a option for the VNX nor the d13 for that matter. It just says they make a heavy haul truck that as far as I know isn't in production as we asked a volvo dealer about getting one with the Cummins and they never called back.

    You know what's funny is volvo north America still has the VNX on their website and says available with 600 hp but if you click on the available engines there's nothing lol must be they're gonna sell them with no engine . They are a poorly ran company

    Yeah and won't see any more for a long time if ever. Still hard to believe if you want a big powerful heavy hauler mack won't build one .

    sounds pretty. lol. I do hope that mack makes this new model on a full length 120+ BBC like other truck makers so it could possibly accommodate a engine bigger than 13 liters.

    Big Volvo has done such wonderful things with Mack that they managed to completely eliminate Mack from the log truck market in New England since taking over. Mack used to be one of the most popular brands in logging up here. Not any more.

    in reality the R model cab should still be in production ,alongside the ch cab . they'd still be selling a ton of RD's if they built them.

    they are coming out with a new highway truck this fall . raised cab roof so you can stand up in the cab . I hear all new interior as well .

    I like the mack cab. my only beef is they don't make superliner,CL or titan type trucks.

    then are nice looking rigs. we went looking at new paccar products last month and the 567 was my favorite out any pete or kw. nice roomy cab and nice looking mix of old and new .

    my cousin had one. not a ounce of bondo in it. 465 wildcat. baby blue. Cragar mags. it got totaled. that's how we know it didn't have any bondo.

    Does Pete offer steel crossmembers? We had a salesman spec out a 567 heavy duty chassis and the sheet says it has aluminum crossmembers with the heavy duty double frames. seems odd.

    😅 well yeah . I've been told the same thing by liberal cousins of mine . they see the nice trucks and nice things and get green with envy . go out and earn it . see how easy it is.

    it's easy for someone that doesn't own a small trucking business to sit behind a screen andtelll someone they're not paying enough in taxes and fees .
