  2. I am still waiting on Alcoa and Accuride to issue quotes, both companies were interested, but now is the hurry up and wait period! LOL Update: I just talked to a guy from Alcoa today...he said it would be a minimum of 500 pieces. They would all be 22.5 tubeless. He said price would be less if they can use the standard forging of today's wheels (instead of the doomed shape) but the overall look would be very close...what do you guys think about that? Price and lead time coming soon!
  3. Stop in some afternoon and we'll go look around! I need to get more photos anyway... The best yard around is Gerharts in Lititz, PA...don't miss the truck show Oct 1st...you can walk all around the junk yard. There are trucks and heavy equipment there.
  4. I found this exploring the net... http://www.walterbuble.com/firefighting.htm This guy paints fire trucks and other stuff... Here is a sample:

  13. I'll have to look at the old fire trucks, I think they are all Mack (there is at least 2 or 3 down in the yard) I don't really know the story of all the trucks...most of them were traded in or bought for scrap years ago. We have just started buying B's for used parts, etc...I'll try to post more pics soon!
  14. Some are listed, but we just got several of them...I need to find the vins and submit them for the registry. These photos are just from one corner of the yard (the B section) you should see some of the other stuff back there! Old buses, old ford and chevy vans, fire trucks! Tons of cool stuff just rusting away. I will get some more pics when I can...
  15. Here are some photos I just took from our bone yard...We have lots of other stuff too, but the "Old Section" of the yard is grown over with weeds right now. Enjoy!
  16. Yeah, I would go with a piggyback pto/pump combo and leave the drive shaft out of the equation. I spec out almost 100% piggybacks setups for the new trucks we sell. (Muncie Power Products)
  17. You need to get one of those big missle launcher, all terrrain trucks that Oshkosh makes! Your neighbors would love it! PS...Hey Doug...this pic of the G Mod would make a great Truck of the Month pic...hint, hint! LOL
  18. In my Opinion, the E9 is a solid engine, but don't mess with the pump settings too much. Seems like the ones that get tweaked too much are the ones that have problems. We stock alot of V8 Parts and most are still available...the only things that are hard to get at the moment are water pumps and turbos!

  20. Hope you're feeling better, Doug. At least you got the internet to keep you busy until your back up to par!
  21. Welcome to BMT! Glad to have you aboard! Truck looks pretty nice, looks like you got a good piece to start with! Hope you enjoy the forums...keep us posted with lots of pics and write up's on your various projects!
  22. You can get Bulldog brand (made by Exide) from your local Mack dealer or any place that sells batteries should have group 4's.
  23. I don't know how your system is set up, but typically B-Mod's used BCI group 4 6volt batteries. One good tip is to replace all the batteries at the same time...one weak battery can suck the life out of a brand new battery.
  24. Hi Steve, welcome to BMT! You came to the right place...Lots of people here to help you with ideas and knowhow! Enjoy...
  25. CH frame, I think it is built in VA...
