  1. I'm pretty sure the Tree Rat isn't having a good day, in fact the other pics that I have (which I won't post) pretty much confirm it.
  2. It was a very interesting several weeks since my last posting. I saw "LARGE" at the Mack Trucks Museum mixing up some Army green paint to paint some of the woodwork for the 1945 NM Mack 6-Ton that is being restored. I saw some big Mack trucks in the Mack Trucks Museum. Theres a couple of bastards called "Brockway" in there too. I saw Green Dash's new ride. I saw the inside of the extended cab door on my 2008 Chevy Silverado, whether I wanted to see it or not. At 10:00 at night. Because the f&%king window wouldn't go up and it was supposed to rain that night. Large learned some new words for his Mechanic's Vocabulary. I saw these bubbles coming out of my tire- again on the 2008 Silverado. I saw this "D" Mack at the Mack Trucks Museum. I saw this Ladder Truck and then I climbed the ladder truck, just because it was there. And just for Other Dog, I saw this Pterodactyl on top of some guy's Jeep Wagoneer. The Tree Rat is doing a pretty good imitation of a snack. Or maybe he's really good at playing dead. Or maybe he's just not having a very good day.
  3. AWESOME!!! Take some more pics showing the tow rigging and your other toys there on the lot, please!!!
  4. Brocky there are several motels right at Interstate 78 and Route 100: Hampton Inn, Hawthorn Suites, Holiday Inn and the Hilton Garden Inn. While they may be slightly over your price range, I would not recommend venturing any more east than this- the further east you go on 22 the closer to Allentown you get and of course the closer to the riff-raff. 100 and 78 is good because you are only about 6 miles from Macungie, theres plenty of parking and there are plenty of eating establishments close by such as Cracker Barrel, The Fogelsville Inn and others. Thursday Night we always do a group meal at The Tilted Kilt in Allentown (Near the Museum.) Doug Maney always puts this together. Friday night is the ATCA Family Picnic dinner- you need to RSVP for this. It's a blast and highly recommended. If you have not RSVP'd I suggest you do so ASAP. Saturday night a few of us Sterling Truck Nuts have dinner together at the Fogelsville Inn. Highly recommended even if you don't go with us.
  5. Let us know how that works out for you.
  6. What browser are you using?
  7. Just tossing out thoughts- you painted it.......new paint isn't messing up the seal is it???
  8. There's an awful video going around on facebook- it's security cam footage from the inside of someone's home showing the fire encroaching on the exterior of the house and then busting out the windows and finally the smoke is so bad you can't see anything anymore. News commentary accompanying the video states the family was evac'd 2 hours prior and was watching live on the internet. I couldn't even imagine............
  9. VALS327 hit it all.
  10. Hey, OtherDog, look!!!!
  11. Make sure you are at the Watts Mack tent at noon on Saturday!
  12. I don't know how I missed this until now........This is gonna be friggen awesome!!! Where are you located? Can you make Macungie with this???
  13. Why? Did you get teased too much as a child?
  14. Have you checked with Mike Martinelli or Harvey Eckert?
  15. 41chevy theres only one problem with your cake- theres no bacon,
  16. Fellas a buddy of mine just called me and said toss some flour down on a clean countertop or the kitchen table, and flour your hands to roll the pizza, and it works better than the parchment paper.
  17. Several inquiries regarding the bacon-wrapped pizza snack- Just take any store-bought thin crust frozen pizza and make sure it is thoroughly thawed- as in overnight or longer. If you don't, it will "crack" as you roll it. Preheat the oven to 450. Lay it on a piece of parchment paper and roll it up as best as you can, it's kind of a pain in the ass. Then wrap it using thick-cut bacon (normal bacon works too but I like the thick-cut.) Overlap the slices a little bit. Then lay the roll on a rack in a roasting pan or some other kind of setup that will allow the grease to drain (put a little water in the catch pan so it doesn't smoke like hell.) Cook the whole thing at 450 for about 25 minutes. When it comes out cut the log into slices. It's messy to make the first few times until you figure it out and the pizza itself will fall apart if you don't use the parchment paper to help you. Oh, and Otherdog, don't forget to take the parchment paper off and discard it before you put the pizza in the oven.
  18. 10 years ago you hardly saw a front dumper in the Philadelphia area, now you rarely see a rear dumper.
  19. This had to be one of the worst years for attendance (by both vendors and customers) that I can honestly remember and I have been going for 20 years or more. 5 years ago, you'd arrive at 0830 or 0900 and the line to get in would be a block and a half long. Then, when you got inside it would be elbows and assholes and no room to move.....This year I got there at 0905 and walked right in with plenty of room to move about, stop in the middle of the aisles to talk to buddies, etc etc etc. I scored a couple if misc. adapters I have been looking for and a book. Was gone and home by 11:30. (I live 20 mins away.) Usually I have a get together at my place but we had some family stuff going on.
  20. If it has tits or tires......its gonna cost you.
  21. I saw this thin-crust pizza rolled up and then wrapped in bacon come out of my oven. Between myself and the little vultures, it didn't last too long. I saw Large sitting in this Delorean I saw Pokey the Wonder Mutt under the covers on a chilly morning. He was pretty irritated at me. I saw this big F.W.D. Truck with the remains of old Bethlehem Steel Basic Oxygen Furnaces 1-4 in the background at a show. I saw this Extra Small girl at her 2nd Birthday Party Lunch I saw this Big Mack Firetruck I saw these two big Hahn Firetrucks. Then I saw this Big Mack Truck hauling a small bulldozer northbound on Pa 309. It belongs to Haines and Kibblehouse, a pretty big construction empire in Eastern Pa. Mr Haines doesn't live too far from here, and has a boatload of antique trucks and hosts a private show at his house in October. He always brings out a bunch of trucks to Macungie (The green ones over by the pool.) Then a bit down 309 I saw this other one, he went into the Wawa to get some coffee or something I guess.
  22. Hey for those of you not on facebook, Herb Ketter's ladyfriend Debbie had a stroke today right before lunchtime. She is in the ICU at the local hospital there. Send them some prayers, they could use it. Also, mack69man had a scare yesterday but looks like he's out of the woods, he said it was ok to post something on here but to keep it on the down low on facebook. Something about a possible reaction to one of his meds. He's OK now and at home but send him prayers anyway as it couldn't hurt.
