  1. I don't know if we can sell you anymore COE's with the comments you have been making. The air must be thin up there. LOL
  2. Still trying to figure out my brake problem. Brakes sometimes don't release when you take your foot off the pedal. If I use trolley brake they ALWAYS stay on. When they stay on it takes about a minute for the air to release unless I un hook the service line to trailer. I have replaced the tractor protection valve as well as the treddle valve. doesn't matter what trailer im pulling. There are 2 junction blocks for air in the dash. Does the treddle valve feed thru the trolley or does the trolley valve feed thru the treddle valve?
  3. Yes you are correct, When the switch is in the Headlight or Park position then 3 center side markers on hood and tail lights should be on
  4. Think of CL LPS as your trailer light switch, that has the 2 outside cab lights hooked to it. The "flash to pass" switch up by the door post is hooked to that circuit.
  5. I always thought that's what Peterbuilts were for?! Use them when the roads are dirty so I don't get my Cabovers dirty. LOL
  6. Just a little off topic but what does the Scania have to do with Mack?
  7. That Crackerbox is impressive. Also like the Mack Loggers.
  8. wimpy highway trucks? How many dump trucks can a person look at? That was always Macks problem. They didn't cater to highway end of things. Now look who owns them. Just my opinion
  9. Back along there was a show on TV where they found that truck near Tampa, Fl. It was hauled to N.C. to be fixed. Then it went to N.J. After that I lost track of it. The show was American Trucker starring Rob Marriani. We use to email back and forth with him then he and the show disappeared.
  10. Yes I saw the adjusters but the cables are broke and the dash control is worn out. I know it sounds crude but im going to drill a hole and put a choke cable in to control the heater/defroster door. the truck is a mutt. Not much to look at.
  11. Seriously I do appreciate all the input from folks. Anytime I can be of assistance I will. Thanks again
  12. LOL. Nah, I think I get it fixed. Either that or ill buy a winter bomb truck maybe say a truck with a hood. That way I could put a wood stove in it just cut a hole in the roof for a pipe. After all, its just a convential
  13. Put this way. I f the reporter wasn't smart enough to move outa the way for the first 2 trucks then............ You go outside in the rain is it my fault you get wet? Beware of your surroundings.
  14. LOL. That's a good one j hancock. Just like the dopes who pass me on 101 then wipe out because they realize the road isn't plowed ahead of me!! Been plowing that road for years, never cease's to amaze me
  15. Not once a dumba#$ not twice a du@#%ss not 3 times but 4 times and he still hasn't got sense enough to get away from the road??!!!
  16. Thanks for posting that. That's just plain awesome
  17. LOL. Before you know it we will be complaining about the heat and humidity. I for one maintain that you can always put more layers on but can only take so many off. Well take them legally. LOL
  18. LOL. Ahh come now Driptroits aren't that bad. Ooops. Did say that using my outdoor voice? One thing I would add. Its VERY helpful to have a helper. Things wont be that bad unless things go bad. Then it goes bad in a hurry. Take youre time double check that everything is moving free. Have fun!!!
  19. Also take intake hose off and look/reach down in there to make sure there is no obstruction. Like acorns or mouse nest, etc... Then, like gmerrill said oil it up. When it comes time to fire it up, Keep the intake hose off and a piece of plywood handy just in case. I f you haven't fooled with 2 stroke Detroits much do youre self a favor and pull valve covers then work the rack to make sure you don't have any stuck injectors. If you do and you try to start it 1 of 2 things will happen. It will either not run or run away to the point you wont be able to shut her down. A little penetrating oil on a stuck injector may help along with a little moving action. Good luck
  20. For whats it's worth I run 30 wt non detergent in my older engines. An engine that old you don't want to be stirring up anything that has been in there 40 + yrs
  21. Cumberland Farms Macks were a dark blue if I remember correctly. U's and DM's always interested me just because they are unique and under appreciated. Guys would say "its like a cabover I cant drive it" I would reply there are real truck drivers then there are just steering wheel holders. If you have to have a hood to aim by then you know where we stand. I did learn here that Mack made U's with other engine makes and V8's. That was intresting
  22. Just an update. All your info was very helpful, along with the Climate Control manual. The door in the heater pleumun that divereted the air from floor to defrost was in the wrong position and the control cable was broke. Im going to rig up something here for a cable that will work that door. As the dash controls don't seem to move the cables enough. Thanks again for of your input
  23. I tied looking up the grilldenser but just like WATT's Mack they only list parts for conventinals. Mack old part # 210RD59310 new part # 25045679. Would anybody know if that is the same grill as a Superliner?
  24. would you be interested in a TRXL1070? Its completely rebuilt with around 3500 miles on it. It has a .62 overdrive. It's air shift
