An Aussie producer who worked on the Apprentice shows recently commented in a magazine article that Trump as a TV personality he is unique, has a photographic memory and was always very professional, he treated everyone very well, had great instincts about what works and what doesn't. They had a great working experience, they talked every day and Trump let him do his thing and did not meddle. Trump did not watch an episode until it went to air, meaning Trump watched the show as a viewer as the rest of America.

This has been the norm for 2,000 yrs plus and your comment is the reality of our lives today and before. My observation of recent events ..... are very interesting and informative. It is a bit like the master artists, they drew a painting and cleverly painter another over the first. Very few of us could/can see through the top painting. And that is what I am observing ....................................................! 😊🍀

The legendary ACCO – Designed and Built by Australians
harrybarbon replied to kscarbel2's topic in Other Truck Makes
You may notice this second model the cab was moved forward so the door could be made bigger and drop down around the set back guard. There was zero comfort with those fixed single seats, we had 1 or 2 bed cushions for comfort. The V8 petrol and Perkins motors were relatively quiet compared to the Cummins V8 - 555's. And little ventilation. Some had assisted power steering, but around corners it cut out, not fun. -

Here is the second model cab -
The legendary ACCO – Designed and Built by Australians

My dad had the early Acco with the same cab door as the Army version. Perkins diesel motor, five speed direct or overdrive with 2 speed diff, poor vacuum brakes about 18-20 foot tray with a tandem wheel pusher axle. They loaded them way beyond what the motor could pull. They were pricks to work on, had to remove the plastic dog box which barely fitted thru the cab doors. And it was laying over the seat to access the motor to do a service. Getting in and out was tricky. Getting out often caught our shoes/bare feet on the horizontal section next to the guard and caused us to fall out of the cab. Must have been a challenge for the army guys with their heavy boots. Inter redesigned the same square box cab door by modifying the guard and made the door bottom to follow the guard curve to the cab floor, removing the horizontal section the door front section was level with the floor and this made the world of improvement to get in or out and stop tripping out and falling. The early models had straight six petrol engines, 5 spd box and single spd diff. Then the 6 cyl Perkins, Inter 345 V8's and later Cummins V8 - 555 which was not successful, lot of owners lost money. Both of the early models were used extensively for concrete agitator work, single steer and later twin steer with 5 X 4 gears, vacuum brakes. Air brakes were introduced into the next model in the early 1970's. There was one positive of the early Acco's, being nearly 2.4M wide, using a roll up soft foam mattress made a great bed with a sleeping bag, during winter the engine heat helped to get to sleep, but it got very cold when the engine cooled. -
We had the same BS and blatant deliberate lies here in Victoria Australia arising from Covid. At an orchestrated inquiry with very limited powers, no one remembered who ordered the private security guards to do the hotel quarantine, which lead to the worst and longest lock downs in the world. Not one could remember, however the premier, at daily press conferences rattled off all sorts of information with no notes. They know exactly who did what, who gave the approval and who called the shots. Moreover, there must be a written log/record of who gave the approvals, where is that log book. All long haul drivers must record their trips etc, so why not for the most powerful position in the USA?

Mack superliner question
harrybarbon replied to Mack_man's topic in Antique and Classic Mack Trucks General Discussion
This Aussie Truckin Life helps. One of the mack world wide 3 R model special limited series was the Freedom and often referred to as the Liberty because they have the Statute of Liberty symbol on both sides of the hood. In the USA Mack also had the Magnum series. From the info, the Freedom aka Liberty was only made in the R model Superliner. The Magnum was made in the R model Superliner and the Cab over version - Ultraliner series. The Champion museum collection is the only one that has the 3 special R model Superliners and the cab over Magnum. Truckin Life Annual 2019 - Tony Champion Limited R models.PDF -
People have forgotten too easily, blinded by the good times etc and now all the woke BS, the protesters - why? Reality is that there are NO FREE LUNCHES, freedom and security has to be valued and protected, both internal and external. The woke mentality is that it is inappropriate to have a "CONVERSATION" (the word today) about this fundamental priority for all of us, those brave souls who gave their lives is the reason we have the all the benefits we have today.

Here are the 2 examples of the cab connections. The V shaped style is the Bicentennial and also John's Yellow Superliner, showing the V starting about 600 mm from the base, the rubber boot is fixed with aluminium strips. With John's set up there is no movement between the 2 cabs. This would be the better opening system for your cabs and in keeping with the system used at the time for Superliners and many Valueliners. The other 3 pictures are the V8 Valueliner sleeper connection being about 1450 mm wide and about 1200 mm high. If you like I may be able to contact John and ask for the opening measurements.
-
This is the yellow Superliner with the red frame and similar sleeper to your sleeper. I would think the system of this yellow sleeper and truck cab would best suit your Superliner. John the owner did the set up when they repaired it after his Superliner rolled over, he said the ride is wonderful. I will try find some pictures of the connection between the cabs.
-
I forgot to mention with the air bag system there is one separate frame (chassis) onto which the truck cab and the sleeper are mounted. The front of the frame pivots on the truck cab mounts at the front and at the back of the frame are the air bags and shockers. This system gives a great ride in combination with the truck cab air ride seat and you have the air bag rear suspension. With this set it will ride beautifully, bob tail or loaded. many Mack drivers who drove the V8 Valueliner with this separate air bag frame said it was the best Mack ride ever. The newer Macks have this set up. I have also seen the set up of the usual truck cab mounting with the 2 shockers and the sleeper also with fixed rubber mountings at the front of the sleeper and 2 shockers at the back of the sleeper. The gap between the 2 cabs and the flexible rubber seal between the 2 cabs allows for adequate movement.
-
I assume you are referring about connection between truck cab and sleeper cab. If yes, Mack Aust had two types of entries for the R models - between the cabs, 1 was the V shape about 1400-1500 mm high, the bottom of the V was about 400-500 wide, this style was for all the Bicentennials, Superliners and Valueliners, V8 and 6 cyl. 2 was a nearly square opening between the 2 cabs. The mounting for the Bicentennials, the truck cab had the usual shock absorbers behind the cab and the sleeper was fixed with 2 rubbers mounts at the front and 1 at the rear. See attached pictures. For the late Mark 11 model Superliners and the V8 Valueliners there were the full air bag system, rotating off the truck front cab mounts as in the attached pictures.

Paul I was a bit confused when I saw the replica. Many on here say that people can do as they please with their trucks or cars. In recent years Jaguar and other companies have been building their "limited continuation models". Maybe Mack could consider such an idea. Who knows if it would pull in some buyers. And what could the price be? However, copying a Bicentennial, that diluted the importance of the real Bicentennials, it is a disregard for the Mack brand and the owner of the real Bicentennial copied. Imagine attending shows and the owner having to continually tell people or make a sign/display board - mine is the Original. A copy will always be an IMPOSTER - FAKE, it can never have a history like the 16 originals. Maybe JK had deep regrets that he sold Kingsford Smith. How come he did not copy Kingsford Smith?????? Here it was when he had Kingsford Smith, before he sold it.

Paul, do you like a "BUCK" ? 😄 -

For me the Mack LTL is no 1 and this Superliner Mk11 series is no 2, naturally with the Mack 500 - V8

Your sleeper is derived from the 1988 Aussie Bicentennial sleeper cab, developed solely for the Bicentennial. Mack later developed your type of sleeper.

What should I name my Mack
harrybarbon replied to Mack_man's topic in Antique and Classic Mack Trucks General Discussion
Eric Ballard's Macks. Many years ago we bought one of Eric's Macks, B61, Mary Anne, this was the name of Eric's wife. Mary Anne is now back with the Ballard family in Dalby QLD and being restored. It was a 1957 model with 38 gears - 3 stick job and was mostly original, with the original factory yellow paint and scroll work untouched. Eric's nephew bought Mary Anne from Eric to tow a low loader carting their Cat bull dozer, for their tank sinking work. The Mack motor cooked for lack of water and the nephew fitted a Cat motor, which also was cooked when we bought it. It was originally sold to a drilling or outback power company. The buyer reneged and Eric stepped in and grabbed it because new truck supply was limited, especially Macks. -
Funny that yesterday on local Italian community radio chat the announcers were alluding to that he was doing her at his age 15 in the locker room or similar closed room, they would go missing for a time during classes or recess. Happens all the time, there were recent cases in US. If true, today that would be jail time. Why else would a young boy be soooooo glued to a woman 25 yrs older for soooo many years? With his looks he would pull many chicks. Does not add up to me!

Superliner RW700 Steering axle

Twin steering boxes, I have never seen or heard this. How common are twin steering boxes? -
Joey you and others on here were spot on, from my limited observation I had no doubt that you were correct. Our local newspaper article last weekend, reported on a book titled "ORIGINAL SIN" written by CNN anchor Jake Trapper and Axios political correspondent Alex Thompson. The article says it paints a picture of widespread cover up - rising to scandal, perpetuated by enablers who were as addicted to the trappings of power as the occupier himself. The book sets out how those closest to Biden circled the wagons and imposed measures designed to shield him from forums where things could go wrong. They wrote that at least by 2022 Biden could not recall the name of his staffers he saw every day. The content of the book and certainly the sources who provided the information to Trapper and Thompson would indicate that possibly a major crime may have been committed by all those who have been involved. Also it may be that legally, and possibly it can be proved, on the basis that Biden did not have the mental capacity to perform his constitutional duties, any documents that he signed could be deemed null and void - they are not legal, e.g. the pardons and any other documents he supposedly signed. For a person's Will or Last Testament (or any legal document) proper full legal capacity to instruct, understand and sign the document after it has been prepared, must be proven for the Will to be legally valid. There are countless Wills that have been overturned because of legal incapacity. Those who have orchestrated such false Wills have effectively committed a crime. The same would likely apply to any other legal documents or actions. Also mention of the auto pen, that should give rise to some serious legal issues. Is it possible the process is well underway? Who authorised the $96 billion paid out by the US Energy department in the period after the November election and Trump's swearing into office? It could not have been Biden given his condition. The US people have a right to be properly and fully informed by their elected representatives. The puzzle seems to be forming. Is the best to come? Maybe there are many wet rear ends getting around the streets from what I hear on the grapevine. 🤔🫰😮

If you have space, why not hang onto the gearbox, never know when someone might just call for it. It sounds like it can be repaired, so why waste it.

There is a guy advertising an E9 here in Australia that I think he said was NOS and either boat engine or out of army tank. I do recall that the Israeli army had a bunch of E9's that were sold or to be sold out of their tanks. And I think maybe 700HP motors.
