  1. WELL AFTER TRYING EVERYONE AND THEIR BROTHERS ADJUSTMENT. NOTHING WORKED, SO I PULLED THE TRANS. AND FOUND THE PRESSURE PLATE WAS THE PROBLEM. WHILE THE PLATE WAS ON THE FLOOR, YOU COULD SEE THE CENTER COLUMN WAS OFF TO ONE SIDE AS IF THE SPRINGS ON ONE SIDE WERE WEAK. COULD NOT SEE ANY THING WRONG INSIDE. I WAS WRONG ON THE MILEAGE, I CHECKED MY MAINTENANCE RECORDS AND IT HAS 17,000 MILES ON IT (EVEN WORSE) IT WAS A NEW CLUTCH, NOT A REMAN. SPICER SAID WARRANTY IS ONE YEAR, I'M 1 YEAR PASSED THAT. I HAD SPICER CHECK THE TORQUE RATING AND IT WAS THE RIGHT CLUTCH SETUP. SO NOW I HAVE 2 NEW DISCS AND A VERY LARGE PAPER WEIGHT! HAULED A LOAD OF WATER TODAY AND EVERYTHING SEEMS GOOD.

  3. MY SUPPLIER STILL GETS ME LSD, FOR NOW. BUT SOONER OR LATER I WILL HAVE TO GET ULSD . I'VE HEARD BAD THINGS ABOUT WHAT IT DOES TO PUMPS AND MILEAGE . I ALSO USE LUCAS ADDITIVES IN MY FUEL, WINTER AND SUMMER.
  4. TRY THIS NUMBER 2MB4956AP4, SERIAL 042810, 75 GALLON. THIS TANK IS ON MY DUMP, SPLIT ABOUT 70/30, DO NOT KNOW IF IT IS FACTORY OR IF IT IS WAS DONE BY A THIRD PARTY. LET ME KNOW HOW YOU MAKE OUT.
  5. YOU MUST BE ABLE TO REACH THE FIRE EXTINGUISHER AS IF YOU WERE TRAPPED IN THE DRIVER'S SEAT AND COULD NOT GET OUT.
  6. MY 94 HAS A RIGHT SIDE SPLIT TANK. I DO NOT KNOW IF IT IS FACTORY OR NOT. I WILL GET YOU THE PART NUMBER ON THE TANK THE FIRST CHANCE I GET. YES THE WELD IS UNDER THE STRAP SO YOU CAN'T SEE IT. IF YOU LOOK IN MY GALLERY THE 94 RD TANDEM DUMP IS THE TRUCK.
  7. I HAVE CHECKED ALL THE ADJUSTMENTS SEVERAL TIMES THINKING MAYBE I MISSED SOMETHING BUT I KEEP COMING UP WITH THE SAME RESULTS, SLIPPING UNDER A HARD PULL. ALSO NO OIL INSIDE BELL HOUSING SO I DON'T THINK OIL IS GETTING ON THE CLUTCH. TIME TO PULL THE TRANS.
  8. REVISED: PLEASE CHECK OUT THE "FOR SALE" SECTION FOR INFO ON A 1988 R-MODEL WITH SUPER LOW MILES. THIS TRUCK IS BEING SOLD AS A CAB AND CHASSIS, IT WAS A WATER TANKER AND THEY ARE REMOVING THE TANK. THANKS.
  9. YES, I WORKED FOR SLUSSER BROS. YEARS AGO, BUT MY EXCAVATING BUSINESS NEEDED THE TRUCKS ON MY SITE JOBS. I DO LOT CLEARING, NEW HOME EXCAVATING, SAND MOUNDS, AND ALOT OF TOPSOIL WORK. IN THE WINTER I CLEAR SNOW FOR SOME PLANTS IN THE INDUSTRIAL PARK TO KEEP THE EQUIPMENT MOVING( THEY GOT A GOOD WORK OUT THIS WEEK) SMALL WORLD ISN'T IT.

I LIVE BY THE 80-81 JUNCTION, WE GOT 4 INCHES OF SNOW, THEN TURNED TO FREEZING RAIN FOR ABOUT 4 HOURS, THEN 1 HOUR OF RAIN WITH AIR TEMPS IN THE LOWER 20'S, THEN TO TOP IT OFF 12 INCHES OF SNOW ON TOP. THE RAIN TURNED THE FIRST 4 INCHES OF SNOW INTO A 3 INCH ICE PACK. WHAT A MESS!!!! INTERSTATES WHERE CLOSED FOR 40 HOURS WHILE PLOW TRAINS OF 8 PENNDOTS TRUCKS TRIED TO CLEAR THE ROADS. ALL SIDE ROADS BECAME TRUCK PARKING LOTS. IT'S NOW SATURDAY NIGHT AND THINGS ARE SLOWLY GETTING BACK TO NORMAL, WHATEVER NORMAL IS. NOT MANY ACCIDENTS, JUST PEOPLE STUCK.
  11. Would anybody have an interest in a 1962 concave cab. I'm looking at a B model for parts and the cab is of no use to me. I do not know the condition until I get it home. I do not know popular these cabs are if at all.
  12. I NOTICED THE STEERING WHEEL IS ON THE SAME SIDE AS THE AIR CLEANER, ARE THEY RIGHT SIDE DRIVE?

  16. 2 valve is the better bet, since the 4 valves where prone to cracking the blocks in the bottom end. Then they came out with the E-7 with buttress bolts to strengthen the bottom end to end cracking.
