I'm off until tomorrow,so today I had the traditional New Years meal of blackeyed peas and greens. They were mustard greens,but mustard,turnip,kale,they all taste about the same to me-I like'em all. Creeces are the best,but hard to come by. They say the greens are supposed to bring you money in the new year and the blackeyed peas bring you luck.You're supposed to have hog jowl too,but I skipped on that part. I don't know what the hog jowl is supposed to represent anyway,but money and good luck covers most things I guess. I'm also gonna try to quit smoking. I had quit for 10 years or more but started back just before my wife passed away. One of the more foolish things I've done-it's A hard habit to break.

Hey Joe,I hope Parker and Paxton are doing well...did you check out the youtube videos yet? I told you they were pretty bad,but everybody has seemed to like them. Makes me want to borrow Teresa's video camera and try it again.Should sound better anyway-I was surprised that little camera of mine picked up the sound as good as it did. Take care,catch you later.

I know exactly where you're talking about,though I've never been through there in the snow. Most of the old road has been bypassed with the 4 lane. I've always wanted to stop at the little truckstop on top of Steam Valley hill,but never have. Old Bill had an excellent story about it in his stories-it's the Florida trip story. Big Jim Veitz's parents live in Punxatawney. We deliver lumber there pretty often. I'm not sure about the per-mile rates,but I can figure it out sorta close when my pickup gets back with my pay stub still laying in the seat. I get paid by percentage. If I have to load steel at Lackawanna,which I hate to do because the people are so hateful at the steel mill, I run 90 over to Rochester,then 390 down to Corning and run rt. 15 back down to Harrisburg. I like running 15 from Corning to Williamsport too. I've tried 20 and 20a across,but it's just as quick,maybe quicker, to take 90.

Hi Paul-Orchard Park is a regular run for us.We deliver kyanite to Boston Valley Terra Cotta. Big Jim goes there a lot because he lives in Reynoldsville,Pa. and he can go by the house.They recieve there until 10pm. It's a nice ride up 219.

you're exactly right,as a matter of fact I called Jeff (Moore-he owns the truck I drive) from Orchard Park when I was getting unloaded Thursday morning .Him and his wife left Wednesday morning going to Florida and he said I-95 was a parking lot a lot of the way.They only made it to South Carolina somewhere before they stopped Wednesday night. Teresa said she figured I would just take the week off-I told her I would have,but I didn't want to hear Jeff woofing about it for a year.

I'm back. Left the day after Christmas and went to Orchard Park,N.Y. (Buffalo area) and then to Boardman,Oh. to pick up three magnets and dropped them at the shop this morning. They said Wednesday they had a load going to Boca Raton,Florida. Long ways, but Florida ain't bad this time of year. But-Neal called back about 2 minutes later and said the Orchard Park was there at the yard,loaded on a side kit trailer,and I could get it and go,so that's what I did. So much for Florida. That's OK,I'd just as soon go to Buffalo anyway.

I can't get this to play anymore myself now,must be past the expiration date,so don't pay any attention to this.

Thanks Barry,I might if I can figure out the proper category and how to do it...and i'm still afraid everybody will point and laugh at me -freighttrain's a hard act to follow! just kidding-I can edit youtube videos,but i'm too lazy,so it is what it is. Maybe i'll try to do a better one later.We were mainly just trying out the camera's video setting.

I put LED tail lights and marker lights on the rear,and they have to be hooked up backwards with positive ground systems.I couldn't figure out what to ground to get everything working- I ended up with tail lights and turn signals,but no brake lights,so I took the easy way out. I put a spring loaded toggle switch in an old CB antannae -that doesn't look right...anyhow, bracket.I wired the brake lights to the switch and mounted the bracket to the shift lever so I could reach it easily,so whenever I want brake lights I can just flip the switch either way with my finger without taking my hand off the lever,and when I let go it comes back to center by itself and they go off. I know it's not how it should be,but it works great!

I went ahead and posted another one. I didn't particularly like it,but it's out there now.It's so bad i'm already sorry I posted it,but I guess i'll leave it until I get one that's better. The video's bad,shifting is bad,driving bad-but it sounds good.

I don't really think so-I tried to post it like the other one,but it just wouldn't work. Might've been too long. So I thought i'd try it on youtube,and it worked.All you gotta do is click "upload video",or something like that,and that's it. It took me longer to figure out how to post the link to it actually.
