  1. Indeed, mine's too-I can git free used tires, just wish I could afford the used wheels to put them on.
  2. Absolutely Greg, a true American beauty she was.

    Farrah

Farrah Fawcett passed away this week, not unexpectedly. I bought a Chattanooga paper Friday to read while I was sitting in the Wal-Mart parking lot in Dayton, Tn. waiting on a load. There were several articles about Michael Jackson, who passed very unexpectedly, and not even a brief mention of Farrah Fawcett...nothing-not a word. So i'll jump up on the BMT soapbox while no one's using it to say farewell Farrah!
  4. Thanks Rob, I hope so- the last thing I wanted to do is something he didn't want me to do, but what's done is done. I hope a thousand people send him $10.
  5. Got an e-mail from Old Bill the other day. He said he'd gotten a contribution from Scott Thoren from some forum, but didn't have an e-mail address so he could send him a thank you. He was wondering if I might know it. He also thanked me again, said his website was shut down, and asked me not to mention the situation anywhere else as he preferred not to mention it around the world...uh-oh! ...maybe if he gets lots of donations he won't be too mad at me, eh?

  16. Too early to say, but i'd sure love to go-that's always been one of my favorite shows to go to. well...Jo saw it. It was about 7am. It was flourescent orange, with lime green wings. Wish i'd taken the camera outside, but who's expecting an ostrich to be passing by?
  17. well said, my friend!..I couldn't have said it any better...not that I knew any of that in the first place. But I now have a naturally aspirated 673, and I used to drive an F-model with a 300 and a 5 speed, so I know the difference-like night and day.
  18. Hey dmmack76-just a thought- think we can send this around the world? I've already sent it to Australia and France...thank you for any help. http://www.bigmacktrucks.com/index.php?showtopic=9409

  21. True story-( not that any of my stories aren't )-As I mentioned earlier, Jeff bought a brand new Peterbilt 386 (I think it's a 386-the sloped hood model anyway) last year and he told me I could keep my truck or take the new one, whichever I wanted to do. Of course there was no question, I kept the 379exhd with the 550 cat and 3.55's (new one has ISX 485 Cummins w/3.36 rears- both have 18 spd. trans.) When Jimmy put the satellite communication system (Quaalcom) in he found the carpet in the sleeper was soaking wet. So Jeff sent it back to Peterbilt to get the leak fixed, and the last time I talked to the driver he put on it, he told me he went to a truck wash somewhere and it still leaked so bad that it saturated all his clothes that was in the closet in the sleeper.
  22. It's got to be on the rear axle somewhere, or at least every one i've ever seen was. Some are electric shift and some are vacuum shifted (usually the older ones were vacuum shifted). There has to be a motor somewhere on the rear axle to change the ratio from hi to lo and vice versa. I'm not up to snuff on newer stuff but unless it's actually inside the rear end housing it's got to be there somewhere. Sure it's not an 8LL trans, or a super 10- which you shift like a 2 speed-and doesn't have a 2 spd. rear? I don't know...
  23. I've heard that the owner is one of the greatest living Americans, but I have no first hand knowlege of this, or even who he is, except apparently his name is Rob. He's rumored to also be a rocket scientist for NASA and has a body shop for a hobby...everybody needs a hobby.
  24. A new truck dealership recently opened in Farmington, Il. First pictures seen here...
