  1. You should be proud, congratulations to you all!
  2. Amen brother! (Bulldogman) He might hate me now, he didn't tell me to say anything about this , and I certainly don't know that he wanted his address known, but I know from personal experience what a difference some extra money can make at a time like this- that's why I always go to the annual benefit in Toga, Va. I did not tell him anything about posting anything anywhere either-it'll be a surprise ...or maybe a shock.
  3. Bill also said she had been diagnosed with early stages of another serious disease...I sorta don't feel right saying this. He probably wouldn't want me to- but I feel we should step up, because of my respect and admiration for the man. They do have free health care in Canada, but he's been taking her back and forth from Elliot Lake to Sudbury to the hospital for some time now. I suspected something wasn't right, but I didn't want to come right out and ask. I'm just thinking we could help, if only a little-there's over 3,000 members here! I know times are tight, they are for me, but if anyone wanted to send him anything to help cover his expenses, or just a card or letter, it would be great. His address is William Weatherstone 408-100 Warsaw Place Elliot Lake Ontario P5A 2S8 Canada thanks
  4. I just got an e-mail from William Weatherstone, the greatest truck driver ever in my opinion. Just read his stories about trucking all over Canada and the U.S. in a B-model Mack and you'll see why. We used to talk on Skype every weekend, but I hadn't heard from him lately. He said his wife Murt had had a mild heart attack and was still in intensive care in the hospital... maybe everbody could put them in their prayers. He's also a member on this site. Here's his website- http://www.thedieselgypsy.com/ Be sure to check out "Honeymoon Chariot"
  5. Thanks Mike, I don't know, but I got 2 more off me today. Went to Wal-Mart and got a bag of Ortho lawn treatment stuff that's supposed to kill ticks and spread that a little while ago, so we'll see. And for the garden- I must say, it's one of the best looking ones i've ever had...so far anyway.
  6. OK, here's the boat. I suppose Mike will want a knuckleboom mounted on the roof of the camper now to load and unload the boat.
  7. yep, most are in the same place, but I did add a few more just from pictures I had saved. The 860 GMC was taken the same day, but not at the same place. The owner of them has a trucking co. too, and he's the regional Vice President for Va. and W.V. of the ATHS.
  8. by the way,I finally got most of the rest of the pictures on webshots... http://rides.webshots.com/album/572065624hKgZmm
  9. oh So in this particular trans. if you shifted it like A duplex you'd have underdrive and direct, as opposed to the more common direct and overdrive ,eh?
  10. It took me hours and hours to design and draw up these different versions of the Robmobile camper-well,arrright then, minutes, it took lots of minutes to draw all this crap and Rob doesn't even make a witty or funny response...as of now i'm officially retired from the automotive design bidness-done-finished-through!..and I was just trying to help.
  11. I use deep woods "Off", but this is ridiculous-I've mowed the grass the last 3 weekends in a row, and there's still lots of ticks-not in the weeds or bushes, but I mean just walking around in the back yard. Caught 2 just now crawling up my arm. If it ain't one thing it's something else. Think i'd rather battle the rabbits-hate ticks!
  12. I'd have to drink a lot of beer to pee all over the back yard, then it would be time to start over. Haven't had any trouble with bugs in the garden yet, just lots of ticks-everytime I go outside I get A tick or 2 crawling on me. We used that diazanon before and it got rid of 'em-sprinkle that on the ground and wet it and you couldn't find a tick! Works great- I guess that's why you can't get it anymore.
  13. That's where I have the mixer insured, and I think it's under $400 a year.
  14. Not much good to report. Been at home since Tuesday, but just got a load going to Orchard Park, N.Y. And how about the ticks this year? More around here than i've ever seen. Can't get Diazanon any more, but I tried some other kind of poison and it doesn't seem to have any affect. But everything i've planted so far came up, and the garden is growing like crazy. I put a second picture of the garden, taken from the back porch, because it's raining again-first was taken Friday, second Sunday morning. The beans have nearly doubled in size! Now not only do we have lots of ticks, I have to worry about creatures like this when I go outside! I think it's a non-poisonous garter snake, but i'm of the opinion the only good snake is a dead one. The dog was barking at it about 4' from the garden, under the rose bush where Jo was cutting flowers yesterday. I applied the shovel to it's head.
  15. Geez, are you ever satisfied?..good point on the chimney though- i'll move the fireplace to the front, put the reefer in back, and lengthen the tongue on the fuel trailer. I was trying to keep the overall length as short as possible, so it'll be legal on rt. 6 in Nelson co. That's a design flaw on my part. And a boat will fit on top of the fuel trailer. As far as the other stuff, he's on his own.
  16. You asked for it, so here it is (I have so little to do!)- the super duper deluxe model Robmobile, with all the previous features plus a ThermoKing reefer unit for AC, and an extra large fuel capacity- includes the special "run out of fuel insurance" wrecker just in case he runs out of fuel anyway.
  17. Name: V8 Massey Ferguson 1155 Category: Tractor and Equipment Videos Short Description: V8 Massey Ferguson drive by View Video
  18. ='Rob' post='35049' date='May 10 2009, 09:51 PM']...I also thought about making this truck a camper with a winch on and off unit to go to shows, basically an RV. Rob I might have what you need for that plan too-easy conversion. Here's a before and after of this nice Robmobile camper...and the super deluxe model, with twice pipes, satellite TV, CB, and a bigger door with a genuine cinder block step, and raccoon tail tied to the rear bumper.
  19. I like it too, that's a sharp looking truck right there! did the disc work OK?
