  1. I think this has been posted before- but it's a good one.
  2. yes, fortunately she wasn't nearly that thorough.
  3. That tire had 30,000 miles on it, B.F. Goodrich. I did not see or feel anything that I might have run over, it didn't have any noticable pull to the right or anything before it blew, like it was leaking down slow. I told Jeff I could have run over something and didn't feel it, the wind was blowing so hard I was all over the place anyway. It wasn't too bad, I knew right away what it was- it sounded like it was gonna beat the fender off before I got stopped, but it didn't hurt anything. But, like I said, if i'd had a load of that treated lumber on it might have been a different story. All I had was 4 wooden crates and 2 pallets, 6200 lbs.
  4. ding-ding-ding! we have a winner! I forgot, the big muddy turnaround spot was also a clue.
  5. either way, they won't have to worry about me spending any money on anything but a Ford product from now on.
  6. I love that google earth. Found an interesting picture today on street view. Beautiful country. This one was hard, had very few clues- railroad tracks, grain elevator, the big cross- but I finally found it.
  7. yep, I was in the left lane about half way across the bridge over the Greenbrier River when it blew, just west of White Sulphur Spings,W.V.
  8. close up crime-lab computer enhanced view of the short bus...
  9. $3500 was the asking price for this one in Concord,Va, and it's not in near as good of shape as the other one.
  10. Yes, I brake for redheads.
  11. No Stan, the old Ford truck is sitting on rt. 460 between Petersburg and Disputanta, just west of the Food Lion distribution center. The newer unit picture and the forklift are at our shop.
  12. no, most doctors offices have microwave ovens, refrigerators, and a blender in them now. I went back and found the stethoscope picture- see, she's real!
  13. Well, I didn't get a Superliner...or even stay at a Holiday Inn Express last night. But I did go to Lynchburg and got my physical renewed today, so i'm good for 2 more years. Figured i'd be in and out in no time on a Saturday 3 days before Christmas but the place was packed. Waited an hour and a half before I was called back. The doctor said "great,a DOT! Everybody else here has the flu." "wonderful" said I. "I'll be back tomorrow with the flu". But the best part was that the doctor was a good looking redhead. I could not take a picture of the doc while I was getting a physical, I didn't even have my phone or camera- but she was real! Really, a fine looking redhead...she really was...never mind, nobody believes me. Check this out- I stalked looked her up on facebook when I got home. This was obviously taken in a doctor's office. There was another one of her with a stethoscope around her neck, so she's a real doctor all right.
  14. I think it would fit, might just have to move the mirror brackets in. Or call Pep Boys-"we'll make it fit!"
  15. I passed through Churubusco on the way to Holland,Mi. last week. Didn't see you anywhere.
  16. I cain't fool you fellers!
  17. no. thank you,it was pretty squirrely for a while-fortunately I only had 6,200 lbs. on,instead of a load of lumber or coils! yes.
  18. Saw this Mack with an offset cab...but it's probably a DM. The big green thing- Some old units- Some newer units- The big red forklift- The forklift inspector was on the scene too. ...and I saw this blown steer tire-
  19. Looks good in the pictures, one of the nicest looking i've seen.
  20. I've seen kits that you could get to refill them yourself, never tried them though. A couple of people I know did, and they didn't have much luck with it, said it wasn't worth the effort..
  21. If you know anybody with a dump trailer maybe they could bring you some gravel to dump in that hole.
