It does! That was a good place to stop in the 80's, about the only truckstop I made it a point to stop at every time I went up 81. Good food and great scenery.

I left in the morning and went to Milton and back. Pretty chilly when I left this morning. My leftover ginger ale from yesterday was frozen. Saw a couple of these trailers at the shop. Never seen such a big chunk of iron just break like this! They machine the inside of these rings, then put them in a big oven. Then they lower the shaft down into it and let it cool...that's what this one was doing when it just broke in half.

All I got so far, but the week ain't over yet. I was headed back to Milton,W.V. with a mill roll today when I got a call from headquarters. They said the roll I was bringing back wouldn't be ready until about lunch time tomorrow so I might as well bring it to the shop and leave in the morning. So I did- brought it to the shop that is, I haven't left in the morning yet. I took a van load of kyanite to Chester, W.V. I got there Sunday night and backed blind side in the dark through the gate and up to the dock. I just back up a little at a time and get out and look. It's either that or back in off the road, rt. 2, which is pretty busy. It's not too bad blind siding in, there's no cars in there at night. Trucks at Tucker Equipment...nothing new here. Then I went to Alliance to pick up a load of firebrick. Here you have to go down and circle around that big pile of dirt and come back to where i'm parked to back up to the dock. There's a "no parking" sign right above the "stop" sign, those two pickups on the left aren't even supposed to be there. This guy caught hell backing in around them, and the fence and pole doesn't leave much room to maneuver on the other side. Sumbitch is parked right where I need to be! They finally moved it before I back in. Seen a state truck in Lynchburg that had lost both duals on the driver's side. The brake drum was on the pavement when I went by the first time, you can see the gouged pavement, when I came back they had it jacked up. They were ready and waiting for the snow. Saw a big Mack truck in Petersburg this morning. The mill roll I brought to the shop. Road shot- I-64 in Va, west of Covington,heading to W.V.

Holy mackerel! I can see Farmer52 out in the field plowing with his big John Deere and this V12 passes him running about 40 mph. pulling an 8 bottom plow.

I was unaware that I passed right by Vernon Hill's house. I went to school with a guy named Vernon Hill, probably a different one, eh?

Reminds me of the movie Raiders of the Lost Ark, where at the end it shows those two workers rolling the wooden crate with the Ark of the Covenant in it down an aisle in a huge warehouse with thousands of other wooden crates in it. No telling what's stashed out there somewhere and forgotten........

I took 295 up to exit 40 I think, it was rt. 38 anyway, went west to Church rd, made a right, then it was probably a couple miles down to Jet Pulverizers. I said "what do y'all do here, pulverize stuff?" and the man said "yep, pretty much whatever needs pulverizing, except hazardous material, we pulverize it." So I have no idea what they do there.

I noticed that too, the detroit and cummins sound. I ordered that movie last year from somewhere, maybe truckerflicks, because I hadn't seen it since I was a kid. I ordered 2 "Cannonball" dvd's too, from "robert's hard to find videos". I believe that was the name of it.
