  1. you can do that best to go thru a clutch switch thou!
  2. You would have to be carefull not to distort the housing while cutting! duno if it would work! you also have to have room to work the adjusting nut on the carrier bearing!
  3. 1/2 inch will work 5/8 or 3/4 would be best! ! We did have that tool it was very valuable ! It would guaranty the ears would fit the housing! with out it it was a crap shoot! after setting the preload you could verify you had a fit by lightly turning the tool on the diff If it was tight you could take a brass or aluminum drift and wack the caps to get the cleacance to move the ring! Defiantly a must have!
  4. I have a peice of aluminum to jam the gears for that job as we did not have that tool!😡another bush just ge it done thing on my part!
  5. Reverse light switch!?
  6. I would take an eaton over a Mack trans any day ! That said what is the cost of the swap bell housing an drive line alteration ect!
  7. R700. 325 ! 865 V8 was a maxidyne as well and more likely!
  8. Nope!
  9. Fuel and air (turbo)
  10. correct! It came as a 400 hp usually with a trans with less gears because of its huge torque curve ! This will pull its heart out down to 1000 RPM or lower! you could use a 6 speed trans and the engine would still perform !
  11. Yup better to know where u stand ! Do it once and be done with it!
  12. You need to tee into the line that goes to the filter before the fuel pump !
  13. Did The diaphragm Have a hole Or are we just parts chucking here! I get replacing it cause its old BUT ! We are trouble shooting here ! did you check your work try blow through the diaphragm after you replaced? Also have you checked fuel pressure yet! ???
  14. Nope pull the lid the 4 screws u may have to use vice grips on the anti tamper or zip wheel a screw head on it ! If you can blow thru it it has a hole in it! The other alternative is take the two screws out of the small cap and run the Allen screw right in !but there is no Garrenty you going to get full fuel doing that!
  15. The torque rod can interfere with traction ! unless you have a greased torque rod the rubber ones can interfere with articulation some what! if you are a work site truck Dump type unit rough ground better off with out it! That said you sacrifice stability some what! My favorite torque rod comes on the newer trucks ! It has plastic grease encaptured ends they are pricy but very effective! MPParts | Automann TMR635 20in Transverse Torque Rod | TMR635
  16. Or just shut down eups one at a time ! To find the bad hole !
  17. K if it’s puffing out the fill tube you likly got a bad hole ! So bad news I guess! You may be replacing the turbo now if bits have gone through the hot side ! Depending on hours and money you do a at minimum a one hole fix or an inframe! See if your guy can get a pai kit you may save a far bag of money on parts !
  18. Get it hot remove the drain tube and run it into a clean pail ! Rev it up a bit !If you have Vapor there you have your answer!also take an oil sample before you go head first into an in frame ! It can be liners leaking check for coolant!
  19. I personally would check the turbo if this came on suddenly! Ai engines turbos are prone to fail in this way!
  20. It will be good just keep them u clips (bolts) tight! The t verse is an option! But A lot of pissing around to install if it isn’t already drilled! just sayin!
  21. Still worth putting in! In my opinion!
  22. If you get stuck on something pm me or post!
