    Convert it to neoprene.

Yup Agree with this  statement your likley going to have to replace all of it, you may be wise to go neoprene!

the grease is a good set up (if looked after) Meaning you jack  the truck up  take the weight off the saddles and grease it! greasing with out jacking it up , for the most part your just keeping the dirt out.

You shouldn't have to. It's more Gray Engine Amnesia. Hard to wrap my head around what is going on at the dealerships? Its the age of information and interconnectivity and folks can't get a software update? I'm guessing they turn-over mechanics so fast there is no archival knowledge being passes along inside the shops.

Finding people that give a rats ass about what they are doing for others these days is a struggle !  Its just a job , just a pay cheque, no pride in what little  work they do put out ,It is a real piss cutter trying to find good folks that want to work and want to please ,Having said that A lot of this mentality has been past down from the top mack / volvo its self is riddled with this same thought process ! Society in general  I Guess  Spoiled Brats!

I know right . I’m hoping I’m getting somewhere with fixing this thing. I’m still going back and forth with the shop about the clutch flywheel issue. I really feel like they’re trying to cover something up and don’t wanna drop the tranny again .

I just ordered another truck for a different business venture and on the way to New York from Iowa the truck broke down in Pennsylvania. I didn’t even get the truck yet and it’s giving me problems already!!!! I can only imagine the grief that one will cause me!

HA you think you got problems now! Good luck with your new acquisition don't get rid of your old one the vibration issue will be a non issue comparatively speaking! IMO! of coase!

Yup next step will be fuel preasure  ya need 20 psi + under load 25 to 30 is best!

Before you go to this trouble make sure  the fuel stop is going to the fuel on position!

and make sure the throttle is going to full  fuel on when you step on the pedal!

  5. After you get the thing back together check to make sure it holds  pressure ! If its still s tad lazy after take that little cap off the end and give it a half turn in this will let it have a little more fuel when you first get on the throttle! it will smoke some ! Yup next step will be fuel preasure  ya need 20 psi + under load 25 to 30 is best!

  6.  I’m almost certain this truck has a bad cam or failed lifters.

I Think your correct The spring loaded push tubes indicate that the engine is equip with ceramic roller lifters If all the push tubes were bent it indicates in my mind that the engine was over sped at some point In my mind you need to Replace ALL the lifters! This Ain't gona be cheap!

  7. Is the diaphragm leaking ? did you try what I asked you try first? If so Do this first !!!! get the diaphragm fixed then we will talk! you have to remove the whole top of the govenrer housing as he does in the first vid to increase power! YOU DON'T  need to do that !! If the diaphragm is leaking you need to fix that FIRST ! The four screws facing back!  the four screws facing down Not Right Now! You don't want to get to aggressive with  the stop plate you can Kill the engine with too much fuel!  Just saying!  You were talking pay grade maybe just fix whats broke for now! JUST SAYIN!   :thumb:

  8. It Won't be the first time there has been programing issues with this stuff! They run within quite tight perimeters. We did a power upgrade on a truck last year and now the engine brake is weak on the truck we are still chasing this! We did yet another power upgrade on another truck and the truck wouldn't start afterwards they installed the wrong data file at their end ! The customer WAS livid ! Customer had the truck booked for the next day.Of coarse this happened at the end of the day and you can get a hold of anybody in Mack land to get the issue resolved! NOTE TO SELF don't reprogam at the end of the day it may backfire on you,

  9. take the 4 screws out it will become evident what you have to do  the vid above is similar how ever it is not necessary TO take off any more than the 4 screws on the out side edges and the the diphram is held together with a bolt rather than a nut if I remember correctly! the trick is getting the dam tamper proof one out!

  10. There is a Vague possibility that the turbo can cause this issue if there is little blow by At Idle ! W eve had few turbos  over the years let gas by the shaft seal into the base !  Mainly on ETeck Ai and AC engines under hard pull conditions,  However  there is no reason why this can't happen on the  v8 as well !
