  1. I didn't even know Yorkville had a show. Is anyone planning on going to the big Mack show in June in PA? I've heard it's really good. I was planning on trying to make it this upcoming year. HAPPY THANKSGIVING
  2. Be safe. Lots of crazys out there. Must be nice to get time off. Oh wait, I've had 1 1/2 weeks off already. Lol
  3. I know where one of them is. Not sure if they are still doing it, but they are not to far from me.
  4. Huh, well, I guess I never thought of that, lol Though I guess they could always look up the number. Lol You think I should pull it off?
  5. Was out running around today and stopped by Geske's. The sun was not cooperating with me so these were the best pics I could get right now. I forgot to ask my friend that is the mechanic what year it was, but I think he told me before that it was an '84. I'll have to double check on that. It's also cool that it's hooked to an Axle trailer.
  6. I love how lots of Australian Macks have the Bulldog mudflaps on the double humps. Does anyone know the dimensions of them? I can't find any hear. Was wondering if I could order some from there. Though I see them in white. I would lke black with the white Bulldog logo:
  7. I use the Johnny Bar especially when I'm in the paver. I like on my '98 that I can set it at 10-15PSI and it will hold. I recently bought a '12 CHU and the Johnny Bar dose not stay in position. It has that stupid safety on it. Does anyone know of a way to make it so it will stay at the desired PSI?
  8. I just pulled the trigger on a '12 CHU with the M Drive. I've only had it a couple weeks, but as of right now I'm not all that impressed with the M Drive. I think it would be good for over the road, but I pull tanker and dump and think I should have held out for the Allison. It's darn near impossible to find a good used Allison, and if you do they are crazy expensive. And I actually like the way my '98 CH steering felt better. This new one just feels different like an old Volvo I had, which makes sense since they are trying to make everything universal now. I do like the power of the 445 MP8. I Orininally wanted the 505, but heard the the 445 power wasn't much off the 505 and that the 445 would get better fuel mileage. I really wish that Mack would offer a glider kit. I know you can get a fully dressed cab, so I called corporate office to see if you could get a fully built rolling chassis to try and make my own glider kit, but they of course said no.
  9. Now that is AWESOME keeping all that old iron still working everyday.
  10. I'm not saying that having days off when it's crazy cold doesn't upset me, especially when hauling liquid, lol Sounds like I will be working out of town most of the winter so I'll take whatever time off I can right now.
  11. Ya, actually have had off since Saturday afternoon. I'll take the time off. This year hasn't been as busy as last fall when I only had one day off in 7 weeks, but it's been pretty close. The weather and slow sales have slowed us down. They are saying maybe next week, but I think we are done for the year. Way earlier then normal. We usually go into the first week of December. And the Rossi pic is AWESOME!!!!!
  12. How do you like the set up. I would eventually like the 445 with an Allison. Does it shift smooth like a car?
  13. I was out to breakfast in Kirkland this morning and saw a really sweet red R model pulling a red Coras dump that said Dale's Trucking from Naperville. I couldn't get my phone out quick enough to take a pic. Has anyone seen this one?
  14. I saw this on Google images. I don't think I've ever seen an RD with a sleeper. Has anyone else?
  15. Is that a stock sleeper? And to give you a heads up. My buddy Snake that parks buy us and has that red and white '80 R model with the big stacks, might be selling it in the spring.
  16. I was on my headset lol What is that they are building across from our plant at Laraway and Patterson?
  17. I love your R model trucks. Is there just the one day cab and sleeper?
  18. Love those trucks, but obviously a little partial to the Rossi truck, lol
  19. Thanks for the heads up on the DOT today macky58 lol I was on the phone and didn't know who was talking to me. And of course I ran the light coming off Brandon just before that lol And I believe that was Storkmack driving the sweet R model in Elburn today. Also saw The new Stark CHU pulling bulk tank on 80 and two Stark Granites on a side road off 80 pulling flatbeds
  20. Don't get me wrong, it does haul butt, but not nearly as smooth as the Allison. And you notice it more pulling the tank. Def gonna have to use manual mode when off road. And I really wanted the 505 but from what I have been reading the performance isn't much different then the 445 and the 445 get much better fuel mileage. I can say this, I will define get the Allison in my next truck. But it is really nice not having to shift all day long in that great traffic on 47 in Yorkville
  21. '12 CHU613 MP8 445 M drive 3.58 gears Eaton rears 205 WB Rides really nice and is super quiet. Still deciding if I like the M drive I really wanted the Allison but they are really hard to find. Esp the HD ones so you can put a PTO on. My other truck was dying and really needed to upgrade quick so I got this one.
  22. CoolI haul fertilizer in the spring and fall and we get it down there at Laraway and Patterson. I got a new truck last week and it's not lettered yet so if you see this truck it's me, lol I'm down there three times a day. I saw some people were working down on that job site yesterday, Sunday. Deer pusher coming off and gonna put on stainless double humps
  23. Took these pics on my trips back and forth to Joliet. "D" Construction still has an R model and never had a good chance to get a picture.
