  1. Saw this pictured on one of the Mack pages on FB. This sure does look like an old Palumbo truck. Did they ever have any mixers?
  2. I would love to find an Axle one day, but in really good condition. That might be hard to find, lol
  3. Ya, wasn't what I wanted or was told it was. Dealer kinda miss informed me and said it wasn't their fault that the information about the truck was wrong. I haul dump, belt and tanker. The supposed "Chicago Spec" for the new trucks is 3.36 with over drive. I calculated mine out and it's almost what they are suggesting. We will see how it holds up.
  4. I've asked a lot of people that have different trucks and I have heard that Mack/Volvo has the best emmisions setup out there. I have a '12 CHU, but only put 5,500 miles on it so far so can't really tell you. I went with what everyone says to get, the MP8 445c and I have the Mdrive. Though just from what I've had it, my old '98 CH 427 with 4.17 gears got better MPG than this one with direct drive 2.64 gears.
  5. I picked up another toy today. '83 Hilbilt frameless. Just think of all the history this trailer has seen.
  6. It sure is still looking good. Thanks for posting it. I told Tom when I saw him at Louisville I stopped in there one day in Dec and the person to talk to was not in. I gave them my number and showed Her that it my last name also, thinking it would help me get a call back so I could take pictures, but they never called me. Lol I guess he knows a guy there and gets a bunch of free stuff like shirts and coats. I told him I was very jealous and told him to take me with next time he went lol
  7. It would sure look good with an East or MAC 22' aluminum
  8. Ok I don't know all the field drivers names, but know them if I saw them. I'm sure he knows my truck.
  9. Yes I do. I mostly haul slurry from Joliet to Kirkland. Something's up to Troxel if they need help. What plant does he haul out of? New truck hooked to the tank last fall. I took the cow catcher off.
  10. Beautifully well kept truck. Wish I could buy it. Hope it goes to a home that treats it just as good.
  11. I think it was never titled and only 103miles on it. It was a Legend Edition and had a 460 and 13spd I believe.
  12. That is a great empty weight Storkmack. And I've heard that about spring ride tractors, that the are better off road. I just don't know if I want to go back to spring ride, lol. Though I've never drivin one with tapper leaf. Heard they ride good. How well do they hold up? And that's funny you mention the Axle trailer. One of my friends was telling me today about one that was converted to air ride. I bet it's the same one.
  13. I'm hoping this weather breaks also. I mostly haul from Joliet up to Kirkland with a tank. We have about two weeks before we start. All depends on the weather.
  14. I don't think he works there, just lives near by. I have some friends that know him. He loves trucks and wants to get his CDL, but don't think he has yet. I'll be running up,and down 47 for fertalizer season so maybe I'll make the cut with the new truck. I guess he didn't like my old CH cause I don't think he ever posted any pics, lol
  15. I'm pretty sure his name is Jacob Curts. He takes a lot of pictures there. One day I'm hoping to make the cut, lol
  16. Lol, thanks for the video. Those are sharp trucks. So use to just seeing Waste Management.
  17. I'm not too sure. Maybe it was the angle of how I took the picture, but idk where they got the trucks from.
  18. Elburn Coop Pinnacle. It has an MP7 and Allison automatic. I'll have to get a picture of the blue sleeper truck they have, but they don't park it much at Sycamore.
