  1. Saw this brand new Granite plow truck at CIT Rockford today. Not sure where it is going. I was surprised it is and air ride single axle.
  2. I was just at my dealer today and they had a huge stack of them.
  3. How do you vote for the truck? I tried looking and it wanted me to register like I was posting a pic. I actually got the new magazine at the dealer a week ago. I figured I forgot to renew my subscription like they wanted us to so I fig I wouldn't get one in the mail. Then I got mine in the mail the other day. It was folded up with creases and torn up. Not sure if the bigger size is good for mailing.
  4. Think mine came two days ago, though I got one from the dealer about a week earlier. Mine was all folded up also and kinda torn. Looks like if I want one in good shape I'm gonna have to keep getting them from the dealer.
  5. And for what I sold my '98 for, that is a great price!!!!
  6. I have a couple of those. Saw the Rubber Duck one yesterday also. Gonna have to get those two. There was a cool R model shirt I bought at the Linclon boot at MATS. I'm gonn order up this BJ and the Bear shirt also. http://www.spreadshirt.com/bj-mckay-mens-C3376A7488082
  7. I heard that 4 axle Lowboy is very rare and expensive. I really need to start getting some more local trucks. I'm gonna talk to my friend at Lafarge and see if they ever give any away or sell at resonable prices.
  8. Was that a truck that they actually use to use and then just restored it? Really nice truck. I would love to buy it, but I better stop spending money for a little bit. Lol Seems like a good price though.
  9. Found a Palumbo trailer you prob need PeterMack lol http://www.ebay.com/itm/VERY-RARE-FIRST-GEAR-PALUMBO-LIQUID-ASPHALT-TANKER-TRAILER-1-34-SCALE-/331502840047?pt=LH_DefaultDomain_0&hash=item4d2f1be8ef
  10. I heard something the other day and forgot to ask you guys if you heard anything about this. I heard that Ozinga bought Super Mix and was in the process of buying Rogers Ready Mix.
  11. Oh no!!! Sorry to hear that. I've never seen this thread before. I'm gonna have to go through are read all the posts.
  12. That's cool. Thanks for the info Al. Now I have another stupid question, lol I'm assuming they had factory A/C back then, but did he have that unit on top cause it was better?
  13. I know. My old '98 would have done much better. I know the new emmisions trucks got worse MPG then the old ones, but I thought when they added the SCR it was suppose to bring up. And I was driving at a decent speed. Now I have hard some people deleting the EGR, DPF and SCR and getting 1-1.5MPG better. I might be thinking about that.
  14. The '83 that I just bought is only 20'. Kinda short, but I guess back then that was more the norm. My '00 Ravens 1/4 frame is 24'. My belt trailer for asphalt is 31'. Though I can run 72,000 in WI with the belt where our IL dumps are only good for like 67,000.
  15. Well, I actually had the truck out today. Hauled a dry van load from Sycamore IL to Woodridge IL. Was mostly on the highway and had cruise set at 58mph. I was about 76,000-77,00 gross. Then returned empty. 113 miles 21.85 gal for 5.17mpg. It was a little windy and I still had winter blend #2 diesel in the tanks. And I just got the truck back from the shop and had the rack run so it should be at its prime efficiency. Was hoping for a little better.
  16. I thought when they went to the MP engines is when they started calling them CHU and CXU? That's what the dealer told me the one time.
  17. Think the update was more for the radiator and some other small stuff and it was halfway through '05. And that's when the call them CHN and CXN.
  18. Awesome truck and great pictures. Would love to see more. I don't know anything about this truck. Was it really famous back in the day?
