I've had 2-250 c.i. Chevy's. One was in a '68 Impala and you could've squeezed 2 more of those engines under that hood and had room to spare. It was a tough little engine and a pleasure to work on.

The CH had the EM7-275L (also a 1750 rpm engine) which reached it's peak torque at 1020 rpm. It took a while to get used to allowing it to lug below 1100 rpm, even after coming out of an E6-250 which lugged down to 1200.

The R-600 reminds me of what Getty used to use for their gas station deliveries. The bumpers were red and I think the wheels were too, Are they still around? I haven't seen a Getty station since I moved to the Pittsburgh area 20 years ago.
