Terry T Posted April 14, 2009 Share Posted April 14, 2009 Long time baseball fans will remember Mark "The Bird" Fidrych as the pitcher for the Detroit Tigers. After retiring due to injuries he moved back home to Mass and bought a dump truck and trucked the rest of his life. There was an artical in Bulldog about him back in the late '90's. Greg Rider Posted April 14, 2009 Share Posted April 14, 2009 I heard about him dying under the truck the other day. News wasn't real clear on what happened. Sounded like truck rolled or something fell on him. Like I said the news was not accurate. Did not know about him being a Mack fan. HK Trucking Posted April 17, 2009 Share Posted April 17, 2009 I just read a story that said he got tangled up in the PTO shaft.Reportedly one of his customers stopped by for a visit and found him dead, under the truck.
