About what I expected. I voted for Winsome Earle-Sears, but northern VA. runs the entire state of Virginia.

JUST IN🚨: Virginians are SHOCKED that "moderate" Democrat Gov. Abigail Spanberger's new agenda is pushing Virginia leftward with a wave of tax hikes, gun restrictions, and progressive policies.

Here's what's on the table under unified Democrat control:

• New 4.3% sales tax on deliveries like Uber Eats & Amazon  

• New sales taxes on admissions to events & businesses  

• Higher income tax brackets: 8% & 10% on incomes over $600K, plus a new 10% bracket over $1M  

• 3.8% investment income tax on top of existing state taxes  

• Increased hotel taxes  

• New personal property tax on landscaping equipment  

• Ban on gas-powered leaf blowers  

• Guaranteeing free in-state tuition for illegal immigrants  

• Buffer zones making it illegal to approach people near abortion clinics  

• Extending absentee ballot receipt to 3 days after Election Day  

• Allowing internet/online voting  

• Expanding ranked-choice voting statewide  

• Extending ballot curing deadline to 1 week post-election  

• Redacting candidates' home addresses from public FOIA requests  

• Joining the National Popular Vote Compact (bypassing Electoral College)  

• Banning hand counts of ballots  

• $500 excise tax on firearm suppressors  

• Ban on "assault weapons" & high-capacity magazines  

• 11% sales tax on all guns & ammo  

• Prohibiting shooting firearms outdoors on properties under 5 acres  

• Lowering penalties for robbery & other crimes  

• Banning arrests of illegal immigrants in courthouses  

• Eliminating more mandatory minimum sentences

Virginians voted for a "pragmatic moderate" — but this looks like a full progressive wishlist. 😳 What happened to affordability?

Like wow man, the only one I liked was the speed cameras …. typical democrat more taxes will solve everything. It’s a line in a temptation song. And this is what the people want incredible. I guess it’s based on peoples past times these days live in a big beautiful house with no yard because all they do is sit in a house and play with their phones. Don’t have any idea what the rest of the world wants that sucks.

❌HB 217 - total ban on many popular firearms

❌SB 19 - forcing schools to keep explicit content on library shelves & denying parents the right to know

❌SB 32 - repeal of Right to Work, costing Virginians $1,200/year in union dues

❌HB 5 - mandatory paid sick leave, paid for by Virginia workers - TAX INCREASE

❌HB 243 - corporate welfare tax - TAX INCREASE

❌SB 2 - paid family leave - TAX INCREASE

❌SB 66 - new sales tax - TAX INCREASE

❌HB 968 - ban on hand-counting ballots, direct assault on election integrity

❌HB 164 - unlimited taxpayer subsidization of housing for government employees

❌HB 900 - new tax on every delivery from Amazon & other retailers - TAX INCREASE

❌HB 1070 - prohibiting prosecutors from mentioning relevant prior convictions in jury trials - cutting breaks to repeat violent offenders

❌HB 979 - two new income tax brackets - TAX INCREASE

❌HB 969 - another gun grab, direct attack on Second Amendment

❌HB 773 - extends absentee ballot receipt deadline, directly undermines election integrity

❌HB 1179 - new car tax

❌HB 162 - public financing of political campaigns

❌HB 244 - weaker sentencing for robbery

❌HB 61 - active racial discrimination in government contracting 

... and MUCH more. Democrats promised common-sense and affordability, but instead they're delivering radical left-wing policies that are bad for families and bad for Virginia.
