Solution Joey Mack Posted Saturday at 06:20 PM Solution Share Posted Saturday at 06:20 PM (edited) On axle nuts, I used to preload them at 200 lbft, back the nut off, and then go to 50 lbft, and move the nut according to lining up the holes for the cotter pin. Many times having to back the nut off a small amount. cruiseliner64 Posted Saturday at 11:51 PM Author Share Posted Saturday at 11:51 PM Yeah she was built for heavy haul operations.I was told Mack designed it for up to 300,000 lbs.Dont know how true that is but I do know her first job was hauling 200,000 lb beams for a motorway (freeway in the US) bridge project in the UK....
