mowerman Posted 19 hours ago Share Posted 19 hours ago those of you that know him,,i talked to him on the phone yesterday,,,he is doing fine ,,85,and still plugging along...he doesnt have much left for parts,,,and he doesnt really sell anymore,,,,his wife died,,christmas eve and he is still having trouble getting over this,,,but he still has the restored R model...and his N model and an AC chain drive he messes with,,,strangest thing,,i was gassing up my rental car yesterday and my cellphone battery was dying,and raining all over me,,when his contact started ringing me,,,i just ignored it,ill call him when i get it plugged in at the airport,,,,and when i reached him,he said he never called me,,,these phones do wierd stuff sometimes,,,bob 1 Quote Link to comment https://www.bigmacktrucks.com/topic/75676-norm-taunton/ Share on other sites More sharing options...

tjc transport Posted 17 hours ago Share Posted 17 hours ago same here. i pitched such a stink years ago boss agreed to let me get a flipper phone. when that one finally died a few years ago verizon said nope, no more flipper phones. so i had to get a stupid phone. only thing it is better at than the flipper is navigation when i am in the F550 mason dump going to a super small job a big dump is too big for. i would not have a cell phone at all, except for the fact it is a business phone. Second was from Verizon, a Kyocera Duraxv Extreme with no instructions in the box. Directions on line only with 122 pages to feast your eyes on and try to remember it all! lol Like tjc l went to a not-so-smart-operator phone with GPS for a part time job that didn't happen.
