What type of rears suspension do you have? What year and model truck? Are any of the bushings loose or worn out? Was the frame damaged in any way? We need to know a lot more about what you have...

In the center of the axles there are dimples. You and a helper can use a tape measure to do this. Take the outer wheels off and secure the inner wheels, set the truck back in the ground. With the tape measure, use the 1" line, not the end of the tape. Measure the distance between the dimples.

Yeah I remember that, but what does it have to do with aligning anything, unless it's a bent housing?

Are we going back to having a wishbone. a 3/4 race cam in my Merc, or putting Ardun heads on my Flattie?

Oh hell.  Is that what he wants?  I was thinking of axle to axle alignment.  Definitely beyond my knowledge.

Atro makes great kits with all the hardware included. I'm pretty certain PAI offers them too, I know they have the trunnion bushings for sure, ordered some this week.

don't recall ever stopping there. 180mm has to be around half way point. or if I did stop was for fuel and go. going up or back here , always had topped off gas tank and 5 gal can in back. also correction it is exit 305 in houlton not 302.

Heck I remember going as far as Lincoln before 95 was completed then came 95 that was 2 lanes (was 2 lane from Orono) Was up that way to bury my Dad's ashes a few years ago and 4 lane divided all the way, almost like being in the lower 48!

Dysarts, was on Hampton rd IIRC
