We have 3 working Superliners , and 1 Western Star. Thought I would post a few pictures of some places I have hauled equipment with it in the past few years, Mostly in North Carolina, From the Bottom of Fontana Dam , Linn Cove Viaduct, Appalachian Trail, Blue Ridge Parkway, Literally from Murphy NC to Manto NC , and every city in the state. and many more interesting places . It’s been very interesting.

Yeah, me too just spotted this. Thanks for that post mighty fine looking rig gorgeous scenery as well all I see is wide, open planes, horses, and cattle, which is OK with me not too much greenery though ha ha.

i remember when they moved the door handles from the middle of the door to the bottom,i didnt like that at all.to this day i still dont like the way they look.and yes im bored to death and pissed i was going to go out and work in my garage but its too cold and no sun,it was supposed to be warmer today..bob..

I always liked that era of Star and the Heritage cab with that sleeper. Nice truck you got there. Bonus points for Cat power!

Like the Aussie style snorkels. My friend did that to his Titan when the factory breathers rotted off from the road salt.

Thanks for the compliments , I’ve absolutely never been bored hauling equipment, I’ve Picked up something in the morning near the Biltmore House in Asheville, NC and delivered it near the USS North Carolina in Wilmington,  NC in the evening . I’m retired, so if I see something interesting along the way I can check it out. I’ve put around 400,000 miles on it . It’s been a great truck, unfortunately like all many 5EK Cats, it broke a crank a couple years ago, replaced it and kept on going. A few more pictures. It was even in compliance with MASKS during Coronavirus! , Getting inspected by the Georgia DMV ( the Trooper told me it only reason he pulled me in was he liked “ Old Western Stars )

A few more “Non-Mack” we use besides the Western Star, they come and go especially dump trucks, The Autocar has made it a year. I’ve had the 81 Peterbilt 359 for 25 years, got it from a friend of mine that ran it to California weekly, it had a 400 Cummins, I got it with no engine, I put a 8v71 Detroit in it , My son put a 3406B in it a few years ago.I just recently repainted it. We sold the 99 379 Peterbilt ( C16 18 speed ) we restored it also. The General, and COE KW ,both had 8V92s . They’re also gone.
