I only use silicone if the surface is imperfect; however I like the gray Permatex, (high torque) under a rigid bolted cover like that. Never have worked on that late of E6 I'm aware of however. Mack Technician Posted April 5, 2019 Share Posted April 5, 2019 Use 3M weather strip adhesive on the steel stamp covers to keep the gasket from squirting out. Glue it, let it set up for a spell before installing covers, no comebacks with that stuff. Cast... don’t use any sealant.
