Moparmike Posted March 28, 2018 Share Posted March 28, 2018 Ok guys new turbo here ..so a few questions before I try to start it up.took air cooler out cleaned it out oil line cleaned going to pour oil in turbo before I start it to ensure it's not dry..change oil and air filters along with oil..anything else I need to look for before starting it up..im sure it's going to smoke like crazy... Mackpro Posted March 28, 2018 Share Posted March 28, 2018 Check up in the air cleaner housing too. The ASET AC engine turbos were known to puke bits back up into the air fiter and piping. Mack Technician Posted March 28, 2018 Share Posted March 28, 2018 All the above plus peek in the oil hole of old one and make sure the shaft is in one piece, if not we would pull the pan/return pipe and get the frags cleaned out. Have chased the missing/failed exhaust impeller down to the pipe elbow just under the vertical muffler.
