ahix1427 Posted January 18, 2018 Share Posted January 18, 2018 Brought truck into shop and was replacing ujoints at gear box do to having a little play in them and truck was real loose/wondering wile driving down the road. after replacing joints and getting truck back together I noticed steering would feel like it would grab and also would steer on its own. just slowly turn. made sure steering shaft was timed correctly. Mackpro Posted January 19, 2018 Share Posted January 19, 2018 If it has the double U-joints on top of the gear box. Loosen the bearing retaining plate between the U-joints a little and drive it around the yard and see if that helps.
