mackr1989 Posted July 29, 2017 Share Posted July 29, 2017 picked up a 2000 rd688sx 10 wheeler dump the other day with a 400 etech and 18 speed. it has a lot of power but was wondering if there's anything i should be aware of with this engine. also noticed from a distance while looking at the truck from the front and back that its leaning towards the passenger side which makes me kind of nervous. there arent any noticeable broken suspension parts and the tires on the drivers side definitely have more tread but it looks like it its leaning above the frame rails. any thoughts? dcrow Posted August 7, 2017 Share Posted August 7, 2017 Road salts are heaver on the passenger side of the road due to the crown in the road. The right side will usually always have more corrosion then the left so I would start with checking spring hangers and all of the mounting points on the right side. Mack Technician Posted August 8, 2017 Share Posted August 8, 2017 Good motor with perfect HP range for a 12liter engine. Dealing with this on the CV713. Previous owner put wrong drive axle camber spacer under right side Z-member of air ride (AL). Leans above the suspension. Imagine yours is a camel (RD chassis)?
