Recommended Posts

This one was supposed to be a coal truck, but we all know what obama has done to the coal industry. 23k front, 65k rears, mp7-395 with 8LL and really high rear end gears.

I'm not sure how its the prez fault where sitting on a ton of nat. gas with nothing better to do than spin turbines.  no  more coal miners to deal with tow boat freight trains or truckers .  pipe line to a power plant and let'er roll

Because now all those miners and truckers and tug boat men and their families and all the support industries (truck & equipment repair, restaurants, suppliers etc. etc.) have lost their income and take welfare DUMB ASS it's all part of the socialist agenda... a government that provides for you also controls you. I have some respect for Bernie Sanders at least he is honest about what he is. Obama has been lying to us for eight years about his socialist agenda. Millions of Americans out of work on the government take, all while we have at least 200 years of coal reserves in the ground.

God forbid we should use dirty, polluting coal that MIGHT cause a few premature deaths, but it's OK for the tree hugger windmills to kill 4,200 eagles a year.

Part of my point in previous post. Let the free market drive the technology. Government mandates only cripple the economy. When we run out of coal & oil, then alternative energy will become viable and cost-effective.

Look at my regulation cost post in the Trump thread. Regulation fees and costs  cost each house hold 15000 a year  as of 2014 and the monies generated by the regs make it the  9th largest economy ahead of Russia!   Paul

Ethanol subsidies are a big factor in the mid western primaries, most candidates promise the subsidies will continue. It's $ that's all. Gore made millions with his Green agenda so has many Green tech companies

Funny but all the drillers and frackers around me in PA are out of work too since the price of crude oil dropped. Government manipulation and OPEC world markets have made that happen, too. Ten years ago we were told " the oil price is too high! Our economy can't tolerate $140 oil!" Now it seems cheap oil is bad for us, too. Check the Saudi connection on that one, OPEC can still be profitable at $30 a barrel, that's why they have flooded the market, to keep the price down and eliminate alternate sources of energy. Oil and coal are still the most cost effective energy sources if you strip away the regulatory burden.

BINGO!!!! I.m getting regulated on how and when I can Irrigate my piddly little farm and on any run off , the amount of nitrates in fertilizer I can use, (which is less than the people use on lawns)  when and how I can till or plow under because of pollen, mold and soil dust particles, even the waste from my chickens, sheep, rabbits and pig is regulated for store age and disposal. I did beat the Township of Riverhead on my old Cat on the front lawn, can't make me move it because it holds my mail box. (In my Avatar pic) and Suffolk County on my old trucks. I put collector insurance on all of them and got NYS Collector tags for ever one. Local yuppie regulations are even hindering our selling our houses in Oyster Bay Cove, Shirley and Riverhead so we can move to Va.
