MACK MAN Posted April 3, 2015 Share Posted April 3, 2015 Ok still looking for a good local truck, I really haven't stayed up on the newer Mack's, still drive a 88 Superline V-8. I'm needing a good local truck to run about 300 miles a day, 3 loads grossing 80,000 to 91,000 lbs. I'm having a hard time finding a older Mack that's not hammered. So what were some good years and the bad ones? I like the 1997 to 2002,just having no luck finding some nice ones. I know from what I have read2004 was junk, what about 2005 to 2008? I dumped quite a bit of money on both '07 Rawhides I had,turbo,transmission,EGR shit,oil cooler,etc. and the fuel mileage was terrible. mack mhe9 Posted April 8, 2015 Share Posted April 8, 2015 I agree with Storkmack. But coming from a v8 to a mack six you won't be happy.92 v8 rw to 01 cx 460.
