Back in the day, many tandem drive trucks had no front brakes.

In 1974 I drove a new F Model tandem with steer axel brakes. That was the first tandem that I ever had them on. Then the '74 had an air toggle switch to cut the air to the steer axel for slippery roads.

Looks great. I like that you have all that chrome but kept the spoke wheels.

Truck looks great! first R-685 we had did not have steer axle brakes it was a 72'.........................................................Mark

Yea front brakes on tandem tractors were pretty rare for a while. You didn't really need them unless you were bobtailing.

My B has the "front brake limiter" air switch for dry and slippery road
