Went and looked at that EHU that was on ebay recently...

I made a trip out to Montana to visit a old friend and stopped by to look at that EHU.

My first impression is that it is so far gone as to be unrestorable. Yard art, maybe a parts truck if it werent so rare.

But after driving home and thinking on it for a few days I thought it may be a interesting start to a vintage motorhome conversion. If you could mount the cab on a later model 1 ton truck chassis and convert the 8 lug to 10 lug buds then find a van body for the back.....

I dont know, theres not a single piece of sheetmetal on it that dont need attention.

Is he firm on the price? It is pretty rough an e cabover is on my list but I rather wait for the possibility of one in better shape

With a good metal man I think that truck has lots of possibilities to be an original restoration , gonna take a lot of time and money but would look nice restored.

I also think it's not a great trouble to get original EH rear axle with hubs and wheels and front bumper.

There are many firetrucks wich have the same parts when they're parted out.

So here's more a sheet metal work. There's a lot of but it's common and usual.

Although personally to me too important point is original chassis number.

It makes histirical basis to the subject.

Having it not means you work on just an old piece of unidentified metal.

Just my point of view for shure
