farmer52 Posted May 24, 2013 Share Posted May 24, 2013 There is a DOT exemption for vehicles used for personal/private/not-for-hire use - FMCSA 390.3(f)(3).Does anyone know if I need to have a FMCSA inspection on the trailer?How much (ball park cost) does an inspection cost? DCR Posted May 24, 2013 Share Posted May 24, 2013 Ken,If it were me, I would take it to a truck/trailer garage and have it inspected and have the peace of mind knowing that everything is working properly and is safe. A new inspection sticker was included. At least I do not have to concern myself until April 2014.
