believe the 464's, 540's and 707's were all good engines. def better than the flathead continentals in the smaller trucks. had more grunt than a 673 or 711 to. just different powerband with the gas jobs. wouldnt last as long as a diesel tho. just a little tough on fuel.

Well, it's been near 6-7 yrs since I've seen him or the truck. Owner was Terry Green, owner of Green Truck lines of Malvern, Ohio. He has retired and I think sold off the company.

The truck was very nicely done, red/black, called it Mongo.

Not sure this applies but my dad purchased a new B70 s/a in 1955/56. It was used daily to move excavating equipment in the NYC are until 1974. Very reliable , never any problems (unsure of engine size but it pulled a Rogers 20 ton capacity lowboy).
