Bounce Revisited

Recommended Posts

Have you checked for out of round tires or wheels yet? It would be pretty easy to set up a gauge to run against the tire while you spin it by hand. Have you run the truck with a load on it? I wonder if weight on the fifth wheel would change the dynamics?

Sure looks like a tire bounce, but it could be a bent axle shaft or two out near the hub I would do as advised above, jack the truck up ans spin the tires against a guage of some kind, you can just use a stick with a mark on it nothing fancy and see if the tire or wheel are wobbling from there check the hub of the offending wheel to determine the culprit.

Id try to get some weight on it. Get some heat in the tires and see if they smooth out. Beg borrow or steal a trailer? Do you have air/electric to pull something?

Jack it up and rotate each hub. Using a broom handle on a post to measure any run out at the hub. Then work on each tire.
