phildirt Posted September 6, 2012 Share Posted September 6, 2012 Depending on the age, strong solvent can be a bad idea in an air tank- some older ones were lined with a plastic coating.Use a degreaser (citrus based) followed by detergent (spic and span or industrial purple by zep), lots of agitation and rinsing (don't use IP if it is an aluminum tank).
