I want old but up to date. Will an LS or Superliner fit my 2001 frame?

With a little creative fabricating anything is possible, I don't see why you couldn't fab up everything to make an old cab fit on a newer chassis.

I think the front axel location is the biggest issue. If you have a set forward 2001 truck the Cab and hood of a Superliner or RS700L should fit with basic mods of cab and hood mounts. if its a set back axel it will be very hard to get things to fit....

You'd be trouble and money ahead to just start with a Superliner and update the engine if that's your goal. If nothing else, find a recent RD and start there so at least you've got the cab mounts and everything that you are just moving back on the frame.
