  1. We heard you in Atlanta runnin through the gears. It looks quick and loud Freightrain.
  2. Nice scooter. My story has been the same since I got it, "just one more thing, and that's all I'm going to do". Eleven years later, just one more thing, and then that's all.
  3. seeing Killer being driven by another man would be like seeing your woman....... well, you know.
  4. The impatience of youth. You are so far ahead of U Model dreamers of all ages. By the time you can legally drive that U, you'll be looking for little details to work on cause everything else will be done.Wish I could've had your opportunity when I was eleven. I'm hoping to have a truck on the road before I'm too old to drive one. Good luck.
  5. Took the Road King for a spin yesterday. Like being on vacation.
  6. My problem is I can't keep my big flappin yapper shut, the cat will be out of the bag before long. hopefully it will be a at least a yard driver by then.
  7. Thanks Superdog, i'm looking forward to this engine swap adventure.
  8. I'm looking for advice on how to proceed with this engine swap from one H model to another. Though the engine runs I doubt that it has run at much more than an idle for some time. Should I do anything while it's out before installing in the other truck, are there any issues common to these engines that should be addressed? Are there things that I can do myself without getting in too much trouble? I'm asking now so that I don't do something incredibly stupid in the process. Thanks in advance for your help.
  9. You are correct sir. These are Mr. Turpin's trucks, and he is a great guy. Spending a few hours at his place was like being on vacation. As for the year of the U model , I don't know, but I will ask and let you know. I too, really like this U.
  10. The B is for sale, and it's in really nice shape. The headliner is still in it and looks like new. The cab is solid. I lifted the floor mat and the floor is in great shape. The u model was a line truck out of Atlanta and used for local P and D The owner added the dump body to use in keeping the yard graveled, and is in very good condition. My blue collar backround attracts me to working trucks like the U model, and as many of them as were around at one time, I wonder where they've all gone. I'd love to add one to my collection at some point. But honestly, once I saw the 55 H model, I didn't hear all the details of the other trucks. The experience of buying the other two made me focus on the more important details of this truck. The fuel tanks have no dents. There is only superficial surface rust, nearly unheard of on an H model. The fenders are straight and the truck doesn't appear to have ever been wrecked. It was a Georgia owner operator truck who had a mail contract. The motor is bad but the H67 in the other photo has a good 673. I will gather my thoughts and get information on what else is for sale. Both MH cabovers are E-9s, but the owner has a soft spot for the black one with the red stripes, they both run and drive.Priority now is where to hide the H till I can come up with a good reason why i need another one.....like that matters. But ,you all know where I'm coming from. And thanks for all the help in figuring out the photo downloading process.
  11. OK, lets try this again. I ran up on this yard in north Ga. Very nice people. Interesting array of trucks.
  12. So guess who's looking for a place to hide an H-63.
  13. ok I think I've got it. Damn that was hard. Like learning to shift a quadraplex. Thanks for your help.
