  1. I know this is not a Mack but Randy Brown is a good friend and a fellow Antique Truck Club of America, Central Pa Chapter member.
  2. Licensing has changed over the years. Nowadays trucks are tagged with apportioned plates on the front if the truck is run through different states or just a truck tag if a truck is run within one state. Trailers tags are located on the rear and are for the trailer only. For the most part multiple tags are obsolete, licensing back in the day was not federally regulated and each state had it's own rules.
  3. I can't go this year, Our daughter has a Volleyball Tourn. in Lancaster.
  4. Wasn't the DM mixer a Hardhat model, not a Mack release? I have one of the DM mixers as well, but never thought it was a part of the official Mack set.
  5. There is a whole set of these models. I don't have a whole lot of info but, they were available during the '70's & '80's. As far as I know the set included: WS F R CF Aerialscope CF Pumper M-75 AC Bulldog CH CM (Midliner conventional) And a couple of earlier trucks that I am not sure of. Manhattan(?) Junior(?) Senior(?)
  6. I have attached several pics of the ex-traffic truck for everyone to enjoy. Doug
  7. Apparently fullfuel01 is. He will have to fill us in on the details...
  8. The MH looks good, The cab and mechanicals seem fine. The cab suspension needs some help, it will need a left windshield, tires, and a good cleaning for now. I got a few pics, I will post them when I have time later this evening.
  9. Just so you know... The owner had contacted Don at the museum and they arranged for the daycab ex-traffic truck to be there for a year. It arrived at the museum today. I will be there tomorrow to see what it consists of . Doug
  10. That is my suggestion as well. I have only found one on a truck that was out of service or in a yard, that is the one I got. Haven't seen one since, and I check every one I see.
  11. I snapped this photo when I was trying to get pics of the Liner line-up. I think some creative writing is in order to really enhance this photo. I'll get things started... "Amos, how ya figgar dey put 500 horses under da hood?" "Jacob, I'm glad our buggy is open, did you see the English in that little orange truck buggy? It looked like they were smelling something sour in there." Have fun!
  12. Reservations could be accepted! It may even get you some special treatment, just maybe not a foot massage...
  13. i should have some good pics of the Liner line-up. I'll post them when I get a chance.
  14. Thanks to those of you who contributed to my daughters sub-lunch sale. They did sell out, which was our goal, a cold sandwich on a cool day maybe isn't the first choice, but with this weather how can you plan. Thanks to those who purchased and thanks to those who simply donated. Maybe next year they will have more signs and maybe Ms. Dolk can draw customers in with her pink golf cart. Thanks for the help you guys! Doug
  15. I'm on the far left, beside Dave Igou.
  16. We are not exactly sure. I was at the Museum yesterday and got the news about it being taken to the museum. More info to come. I think this is the owner that had it on ebay, He is out of Canada but the truck was in the states. I will keep you posted as I learn things. Doug
  17. Went shopping for supplies today for Gerharts. Should be a great day!
  18. Are you coming to Mack Days at Gerharts? There is typically 150 trucks and a more laid back setting. You are learning what the difference is between a truck show and a car show. At a truck show, most guys park their trucks and head off to enjoy the show. Car show attendees park their cars, open their hoods and trunks, sit on their lawn chairs at the back of their cars and don't talk to anyone except those who talk to them about their cars. I got sick of that a long time ago> If you want to track a truck oner down, simply ask around. Most times it will only take a few people to get to the owner. Be patient, he is there to enjoy the show too!
  19. I will probably take both Superliners and maybe my D-model. You can show up anytime on Saturday, Most people are up and around 9:00. There is an area for dropping a trailer. See you there!
  20. Hey Mack fans, My daughter, Erica, and her fellow 9th graders will be selling a complete lunch at Gerharts as a fundraiser for their class. The lunch will consist of: Sub, your choice of ham, turkey or italian Bag of potato chips Bottle of water Dessert After dinner mint All of this for only $7.00 It will be set-up as Grab & Go, so you can enjoy the show. Please consider supporting the Linden Hall class of 2015 with your donation and in return you get to enjoy a great lunch. They will be located in the vendor area. Thanks and have a safe trip!
  21. That is more like it! Nice pics! Clean background, no clutter!
