  6. I put a 327 Chevy engine together one time in a laundry room in the house I didn’t have a garage and the parts were all cleaned up from the machine shop it really wasn’t anything messy. Bob

Almost missed that last post that’s very interesting since as I mentioned I don’t see any at all anymore around here and yes I do miss the days when most of the rigs looks like that gorgeous R model First Mack I ever drove looked like the traditional New England style spoke wheels square diamond plate fuel tanks ….excellent.. bob

  18. i understand they hold better or work better cant really say its all in the foot pressure,,,if you ask me.. you have to be carefull washing your truck what i dont like you squirt water in the big holes in the bud rims and you get black brake soot running down the rim,real pain in the ass...bob

  20. Yes as DCW says it could be as little as corrosion between the cable and the end doesn’t take much sometimes to lose connection as I mentioned I’m sure it’s a small fix .Bob
  21. Last time I saw work that precise 50 years ago a buddy of mine spliced two fenders together to make one 57 Chevy Belair he put 14 coats of black lacquer on the car and I couldn’t tell where he spliced it..: Bob

  24. I used to run one in the 80s a real healthy engine back then it would walk all over The 350 Cummins loaded doubles on the grapevine go right up very impressive for it time… Bob
