Not sure if I’ll get too much done on it this weekend, but I’ll give it a really good shot went by local true value and bought some more sanding suppliesThursday,,, Saturday at last fellas yahoo !!!!!!!!!! .. and yes, I know this is a boring old people story that I’ve already told before, but I broke in on a R model trash truck 15, speed two stick… but did my class a training on a 15 speed U model

    Some of you fellas might remember a few years back somebody on here completely restored one, and he had to do quite a bit of sheet metal work on the bottom of it. Guy did a real good job on. It ground up restoration. The truck came out top notch. Like mats 73… bob

    Ours were all bluebirds with GMC front ends spoke wheels ,,, and as white mentioned the dreaded ride, headed to the joint ha ha that’s what we used to call it the pen most of us hated going there… bob

    Or maybe he was talking about the old heaps we were driving as teenagers. Sometimes you had to keep the engine running while you were slowing down. I’m sure most of us are familiar with heaps we were driving as teenagers. Funny thing all those beaters we had are all classic cars now going for 1015 $20,000. Ha ha oh well no I’m off the point….. bob

    Too much concentration for me I’ve never done it except when I had a 48 and 51Chevy pick ups with a floor starter I think Bob White mentioned …it you have to hit the gas pedal and the starter at the same time with right foot…. most of us have slowed down to where we need to be before making the downshift decision lol … sorry bud that’s all I got it wasn’t meant to be sarcastic… bob

    Also, I’ve only seen 2 V12s in my life. One of them was around 1964 and the other one was last August at the Brockway show.

    A lot of times engines sitting a long time it’s just the piston rings. Stuck to the cylinder walls. Lots of oil and lots of patience….. bob

    I would get rid of them. Those bolts sticking out would be driving me crazy but that’s just me. Hell you got a lot there to work with that thing will cleanup. Nice. I had an 83 cruise liner look like the same exact grille good luck bob
