  1. Yea that's the plan now that I know it will fit. I don't want to have to let the air out of the tires evrytime I go in and out. The only thing I will have to do is remove the top 3' of the stack but that's not a big deal.
  2. The door is 9x9 1/2, I'm gonna open it up another 6" ontop and sides. Also gonna install new collar ties about 18" higher than they are now.
  3. Yea Mark she don't look too bad in the pics but there's some cancer and of course stress cracks in the hood. I want to take my time over the winter and go over the whole cab. I might have my sons buddy shoot it with Imron in the spring. I have to finish the inside first and then start outside. Picked up a pair of SS mirror brackets at Lynchs' in Bordentown $50 I almost shit myself, they're excellent cond. I got a pair of SS bubble abck mirror heads at Macungie for $100. Also got a lot of replacement parts from Cliff. I try to learn stuff all the time and having a great time doing it!!
  4. Didn't think it was gonna work but with the help of a sawsall the OL' Girl safe and dry. Also had to take the stack off and let about 40 psi out of the front tires, now she clears the collar ties by a hole 3/16"!!!! That makes Bob a HAPPY CAMPER!!! now i'm set for the winter, I can get her ready for paint in the spring.
  5. Thanks Mark that was really cool. Makes me wish I could take mine for a spin. With summer here theres been so much goin on I haven't had time to finish up my floor. I don't get on here much either, I can look at stuff on here at work but can't log in. Hope all is goin good in your neck of the woods. I know we'll all be glad to get a break from this awfull heat!
  6. I'd like to ECHO BULLHUSKS wishes to all. Nice job Mark, that was a cool tribute to BIGMAN! Life's Short, Live-Laugh-Love whenever you can!
  7. Doug, This was my first show and not only did I score some good parts at the swap meet but the wife and I took a million pics!!!!!! Hopefully next year we can bring the R-700 up. We could only be there on Friday and I understand things got better on Sat & Sun so next year we"ll plan better. The Mack plant was amazing, was the first time I'd ever seen anything like that in person!! Thanks for all the hard work that goes into planning these events.............Bob
  8. I'm looking for a pair of SS mirror brackets for my "72 R-795ST. I know you can get them from Mack but they're too expensive. If anybody knows where I can get a set reasonable that would be great. If not I'll see what I can find up in Macungie next month. Thanx.....Bob
  9. Thank You!! I thought I was the only one to ask that question!! As a company driver I've had to work my way to the top, and only after 9 years (Accident free) was I given a new truck. At least give the guy an older truck until he can prove himself!! GEEEEES!
  10. Those are some awesome pics.!! Where else can you see something like that and get paid while doing it??
  11. Hey Mark what ya waitin for, ya can't work all the time. Start puttin those pieces together! And even though I'm still a newbe to this site I have to agree that Barry and the general membership out here seem to be a real breath of fresh air compared to the Mack dealers out there. And in all fairness it's not just Mack, you buy a car any brand you want and you get the same treatment. It's the "NEW AGE" I guess. I don't like it either. Bob
  12. I thought they were gone too but I figured I'd give it a shot just in case they still had a place of business. Horner in Vineland was very nice, at least what I remember back in the 70's. I just can't remember names and that seems to be getting worse not better!
  13. Not sure where your at but Mauricetown Truck Repair might have them or can definetly get them. 1-856-785-3222 ask for Cliff or Tony. Hope this helps you out. Bob
  14. That reminds me, I requested info and they said it would take about 2 months since they do this for free. BUT! I forgot to make a donation! Thanks Doug
  15. Nice looking tractor Doug. I'm having a lot of fun with my R-700 but if I ever get another it would probably be an F model.
