  1. Its a really simple process, first of all you will have to place the plastic container underneath the drain valve of radiator. Loosen the drain valve then let coolant pass from the container. Loosen the radiator cap and let air pass the coolant out quicker.
  2. Fuel economy fully dependent on terrain, load, speed of the truck and most importantly driving style. Initially company claimed that mileage would be around 10 mpg but these trucks provides 8-9 mpg when empty and 6-7 while load in the mack.
  3. A hissing noise like air or steam can be heard coming from the engine, then may be your engine is over heating [ for which you need to check out the cooling system ], exhaust system of your vehicle might be plugged or may be your vacuum line is leaking or disconnected try out your hand at few of this basic things, but the best thing is to go to an technician and get it sorted out rather than trying our selves to get through it and in turn aggravating a small problem.
  4. trannies are some of the easiest to drive. I'm not sure I've driven that particular version, but if it's an 8 speed, you'll have a 4 speed H pattern. What you'll do is put the selector in Low, the run through the gears, 1-4. After reaching 4, put the selector in High and shift back to 1, which now becomes 5. Run through 1-4 again, these now become 5-8. To downshift, reverse the sequence. With this tranny it sounds like you'll have 4 reverse gears too. To back up, select ® on the shifter, then select the appropriate gear. Avoid selecting (N) with the clutch released, you'll have a tough time getting back in gear without shutting the truck down.
  5. It seems the gasket that connects the air pump housing to the cam tower is a very likely culprit. Fixing the leak is the best thing . You can use oil to temporary fix the leak until you get it fixed
  6. New gold bulldog mack trucks are available for granite and trident models, we are expecting many more gold dogs on our roads in the coming years.
  7. Rarely anyone can find out this bumper. check your nearest authorized dealer for the same
  8. Make sure that the repair shop replaces the entire clutch system and not just the clutch disc. Some components of the system are: pressure plate, clutch disc, pilot bearing, as well as various seals. --------------------------------------------- Semi Trucks For Sale
  9. The Pinnacle Series maintains the option of removing the sleeper box on its sleeper models. This is a huge advantage as it extends the life of your Mack truck and adds significant trade-in value. This is really a good truck to buy.
  10. The most familiar gear problem in manual transmission cars is actually not in the gears but in the clutch. For many the clutch is the core system that makes a manual car different from an automatic. Clutches normally last up to 80,000 miles, but they will break down quickly with improper use and this is part of the design. The clutch is supposed to fail first before the damage of shifting and changing gears translates to the gears themselves. so my suggestion is to check cluth setting from engineer.
  11. You probably are hearing valve knock. If you havent had them adjusted, its probably due. Have them check at your next service....or before your next service. Change ur clutch plate and change spark plug. Clean carburater. check Gearbox problems if any......
  12. Looking to increase its brand identity with the American public and augment a now-small revenue stream. As of March, Ward's Automotive reported Volvo had 8.6 percent of the North American Class 8 market. That's down from a historic high of 15.4 percent in January 2008. For 2009, Volvo Trucks North America had retail sales of 7,066 trucks, representing 7.5 percent of the Class 8 market. Volvo's Class 8 market share has hovered around 10 percent. so my opinion is Volvo is good for Mack trucks.
