    Going to finish the blasting inside the shop.I put up a portable tent over the truck,will be leaving the garage door open when blasting.Hopefully I will get the front spokes and brake drums off and the steering linkage.After it all off I will be able to clean out any blasting media that made it way into the brakes.Then I will start hand sanding the frame getting it ready for primer.Will get a picture tomorrow.

    I may have figured it out about posting pictures.Will be doing some more blasting tomorrow.Hope to have it all done back to the front rear.

    Will be back at it(sandblasting)tomorrow.I removed the front tandem tires,so I have a clear view.Would like to get it all done to the rear axle.Any suggestions on how I can post pictures,it says there is a server error.

    Well here’s what I got done in about 6 hours over 2 days.I’m using the media that is called black beauty.Had 6 5 gallons pails of it for close to 10 years, never used it works good.Again time is what I have.

    Just getting it ready for sand blasting.Going todo it my self.The fellow that gave me the price of $1400 followed it up with he charges $300 an hour he figured on doing it in 4-5 hours.I’m thinking I’ll spend at least 8-10 hours or more.I don’t have to get it all done in 1 day since I will be retired.When I finish up for the day I’ll just push it back into the shop and tomorrow another day.

    I agree Mark,I was thinking the trans was 700-800 the motor I took it out with a 1 ton chain hoist pretty scary I’m thinking it to be around 3000.

    Started to sand blast it.Going to do it myself gonna have all the time once I retire,which I’m thinking is going to be the end of October.Will till be looking for someone to paint the cab,hood,fenders.Would like to have it all ready sometime this winter.Will post some pictures later.

    mrsmackpaul,you are so right,with the cleanness’s.I am going to have it super clean and as much remove as possible.Going to drag it outside remove the tires,thinking of removing the hubs and just have them on the side to have blasted.

    Made a little headway today was going to do it last night but I forgot I had my 50th high school reunion.Got the trans out.Am probably going to go with the guy for $1400 to do the sand blasting.just not enough time to get everything done.Plus this old body of mind is not as young as I think I am.

    Finally got the motor out.Now I can start with the sandblasting,but here’s my dilemma.I can do it myself or I got a quote from a fellow for $1400 to do the whole thing.What’s your thoughts?

    Finally she’s in her new home for at least the next year.Been looking for a place to buy or rent for the last year and a half.This came up for rent not quite as big as I wanted but so be it.

    I know I haven’t posted anything in a while,been looking for a building to buy or rent to put the old girl in out of the weather.Finally found a place to rent not as big as I wanted but what’s the old saying beggars can’t be picky.It 50 x 30 so I will have room for the b and r models.Wanted to get the b in the building this weekend but after I signed the lease the owner tells me the following day that I need to get a use and occupancy permit from the township.They want everything but my first born,4 page application.Will post some pictures later.

    Other Dog,your carport looks great.Do you have the name of the manufacturer of it?I been thinking of getting one,the one I’ve been looking at is made by VerstaTube I think that’s the spelling.one like yours is $2000-2500.
