Truck was built in Dec. 97, engine- E-7 350 Trans- Fuller RTOF14908LL, Mack CRD93 carriers 4.42 ratio. Couldn't determine the suspension weights.
Thanks a million, making sure everything added up. I do appreciate your help.

Can anyone on here run a vin number for me. Looking at truck and wanting to know spec's etc. Feel free to message me if neccessary.
Thanks!

I've been researching methods for this too. Mine has a little more damage than yours but I found a thread on the Brockway sight where they cut the end off an aluminum tank at the weld seem, punded out the dents and zipped it back up.
you can find it here a few post down the page http://www.brockwaytrucks.org/messageboard/viewtopic.php?f=1&t=1044&start=220

Hello and welcome, I've been searching craigslist for a Mack dump and there are a ton of RD and DM roll offs available. I use searchtempest.com, you eneter your zip and search radius to find your item, also its best to use direct results mode, you'll miss out on a truck the other way. I agree with the others, a fresh paint job when you know there are repairs needed on the truck is a big red flag. Good luck!

I would expect that from an International . The guy says it has been doing it for a few years and it hasn't gotten any worse or better, he drives it everyday. I'm thinking it is the syncro also, any rough ideal on cost to repair?

I've read what I could find on here, but the problems I've seen on here are going from Hight to low, not low to high. Same problem?

Good morning folks! I'm looking at buying a 98 RD688s with a 350 mack and 8LL trans. The truck has a little growl when going from low to high but does go into place. It doesn't jump out of gear and shifts well. What might the problem be and should it be a big concern? Thanks!

Looking for a good heavy spec tandem or tri-axle to put to work her in the good ole USA! Let me know what you got.

Keep running up on these cool finds looking for a dump truck. Not affiliated, just wanted to share!
-
I was thinking the same thing on that trailer. I bet it would be a beast to turn with that kind of load, guess that explains the 500 engine.
-
Not affiliated, just run up on it and thought it was a cool truck at a decent price.

Something that beastly in Al will be a great on site truck. To heavy to do much of anything else on the road with
I agree, it's a cool looking truck though! Does anyone have any idea of how many trucks are getting shipped over seas? I very curious of and actual number.

Time for one thing rowdy. I'm trying to keep the oil hot and the metal shinny on two pieces of equipment now. I do have a driver for the truck though, when ever I find one. I might would drive a little further for a good buy on the right truck.

With a tri-axle, you could pull the tires off the lift when doing site work. Gives a little more mobility
Thats an idea too. Right now just finding either a tandem or tri that's not worn and torn is the issue. One thats withing a few hundred miles anyway

I agree with you guys 100% about the interior. I cant stand for for any of my cabs to stay dirty, I know they'll get dirty but not for long with me. Bought a cordless dewalt vacumm just for the job of cabs for my equipment and truck. It's just hard to find a good truck these days.....I may have to be more open to a tri axle. Any leads are greatlly appreciated!

I haven't looked at the truck just yet, got pic's and a little info. It's about 4 hours away, held up when I learned about the frame. I'll have to ask him how thick it is.
I'm looking for a truck to use in my excavation business. It could be used for anything, but more than likely a lot of on site stuff, maybe some demo, hauling top soil and chert etc. Need a good all purpose truck. I'm not opposed to an tri- axle, just trying to keep opperating and expense cost down.

If you were strictly running on hard, level, paved roads-not much of a problem.
As soon as you go off the road, the twisting will break it. Not to mention slightly of level dumping
Thank you sir! Thats pretty much what I was thinking. Having a hard time finding something ready to work around here. Where's a good place to look other than craigslist and truckpaper or the other know equipment sights?

Good Morning everyone! I've been looking for a good tandem dump truck and found a '02 CH613 for sale. It's more than likely been converted and doesn't have a double frame. It's got a 15' bed, the guy said it'll haul about 16 yd and camelback suspension. My question is, should I be shy of it not having a double frame? Every thing else checks out. This will be my first dump truck so I'm not that familar with them. Thanks!

what does it say on the side of the tire?
Single 5205 lbs and dual 4805 lbs at 110 psi
-
Thanks for the replys! After the brain storm here, I'm not sure they'll work, on the legal side anyway. As dual tire's they are rated at 4805 LBS each and that puts me at 38,400 (19.22 TON) with 8 of them for a 35 TON lowboy. My dozer alone weighs that. Humm.
8LL Trans has a little growl going from low to high

I appreciate the info. I know gears grinding is never a good thing, but can it harm anything else in the trans if it doesn't get fixed or can I drive it until it has to be repaired?. I drover the truck again the other day and it only done it once out of several tries.
