  1. Don't want to hijack your thread but quick question... Can main bearings be done without removing crankshaft? -Jeremy
  2. That would be a fun little truck with a cummins 4bt under the hood!
  3. The floor needs attention but thats an easy fix as I have located a couple donor cabs with nice floors. This one has a quadbox, Im still honing my shifting skills with it.
  4. Yea it was listed a couple times. I was surprised no one had bought it sooner. It has the good 673t engine, power steering, added front brakes, etc. Its hard to find a good unmolested B in the Midwest. Most I looked at had been altered with engine swaps, frames cobbled, repaired, and modified. This one seems to be a decent numbers matching original.
  5. I havent seen any pics myself but would guess its mostly home built. You could fab up a square body then somehow use a pair of modified front fenders for the rears providing your a single axle. I would envision a box similar to that on a Dodge powerwagon.
  6. This truck was a road tractor but the fifth wheel plate was removed. The bed was on there when I purchased the truck. I had originally planned on removing it and putting a plate back on but think I'll probably leave it as is.
  7. Hello All, I have had my truck for one week as of today, had it hauled from WI to MN. Its a 1964 B61 ST with the 673T engine. Here are a few pictures that the PO took of the truck. I will have to take some more now that its home. I plan to start changing all of the fluids and then go from there. -Jeremy

  10. My truck has the smooth ones. I also have the other style in my stack of parts.
  11. My 673 turbo shows 300K+ miles, assuming these are original. The engine runs absolutly perfect, great oil pressure both cold and warm. Slight blue haze of smoke on cold startup but clears once up to operating temp. I belive this truck has had a pretty easy life.
  12. Nice looking tractor, I alway prefer the looks of a wide front over a NF. Its nice to see it still wears the original patina. I hope to someday have a Super C in this similar condition. Good luck with the sale!
  13. Thats all great information. I was just curious in general.
  14. Does anyone know how many miles/hours a Thermodyne diesel would last before needing an overhaul? Did the factory have a TBO for these engines?
  15. Welcome to this great forum, can't wait to see some pics!!
  16. Would like to know if anyone has ever taken a b cab apart for rust repair. Removed the roof via drilling spot welds and such.I would like to see pictures if anyone has them?

  17. I would like to remove the paint from the shutters on my B61. What is the best way to do this? I have read about soda blasting aluminum but not sure of anyone in my area that does this. Has anyone ever used the aircraft stripper? Would this be the way to go? Thanks in advance! Jeremy
  18. Looks like a nice scenic drive!
  19. Keep up the good work. I enjoy threads like this and following the progress.
  20. I generally prefer spokes but these look really nice on your truck.
  21. Great story! Thanks for sharing.
  22. Found from the air? Tell us the story!!
  23. Can someone school me about power steering on the B models? Was it only available on the later model years? Was it a factory option or purely aftermarket? Thanks in advance -Jeremy
